Bring in Valdes and Cech and sell Mignolet and Jones,and yeah Cech would come he doesn't want to be second choice to Courtois

It's definitely one part of the problem IMO.

1) Is Mignolet's lack of command & docile approach making the CB's nervous?
2) Is the CB's lack of communication and positional sense making the keeper nervous?
3)Is Gerrard's lack of mobility and defensive awareness making the CB's worse?

IMO its a combination of everything. It's a real concern but you have to look at us individually too. So many individual mistakes and lapses in this diamond. If for the time being everyone done their own job and cut out the individual errors, surely with more games.. more continuity and balance would come with?

Or maybe Valdes should come in & Skrtel in? But can we keep changing things at the back. On the plus side the two fullbacks have done very well.

I know he's still young for a keeper but he really needs to improve. Top goalkeepers are supposed to intimidate their opponents but I don't think this guy could intimidate a fly. The penalties last night showed that again, not one Boro player was scared to take him on

In fairness, not too many of the Boro penalties were poorly hit but he didn't seem to have much presence on the line. He seems a wimp though.

I think Jones should have played last night. When else will he get game time and it might remind Migs he's got some competition.

Sadly theres no way Chelsea would sell Cech to us. We need to take a punt on Valdes, especially since he's a free agent

3 or 4 were poorly hit enough to be palmed away. He got there but then had nothing to offer.

Not great with the ball at his feet, not great with crosses and not even that great a shot stopper anymore if truth be told. We finally solve our FB problems and the heart of our defence/goal is screwed.

Neville sticking it to the Mig on Monday Night Football..........with good reason TBH. Good enough to be an average PL keeper, but you want a keeper who'll win you games.
