I think his brain works in slow motion. Every time he's kicking or attempting to save he's delayed. Look at when he had about 15 years to kick the ball upfield in the first half, waited and waited and their player blocked it. That ball could have gone anywhere.

We need a keeper to be saving us points, not costing us them. One of the main positions (unfortunately of many) to sort in the Summer.

In the second half at one point, he quickly collected the ball, pointed at someone in the pitch and immediately threw and released the ball. I was shocked. Reminded me of how Reina used to set up counter attacks. Only to realize that the **** had thrown the ball directly to the opposition player in a good position.

Its quite amazing how we take good goalies and make them crap yet kloppo said john achterberg was one of the hardest working individuals he has met. Perhaps that's where its going wrong, are we using quantative v qualitative training with these guys.

Were giving Mignolet plenty to do but are we giving him enough elite level coaching.

How many **** ups does this cunt get? Seriously. Its beyond a joke now. Its simple goalkeeping errors repeatedly with him and they're getting worse. I can't stand the sight of him. I hate his face, he has this permanently shocked look, almost like he has no idea what anyone is saying to him. And the yelling at defenders when they **** up and make him have to do something.....**** off you ****. You've cost us so many goals its not funny.

I don't know what Klopps playing at, but Ward can be no worse surely. Whats the point recalling him from his loan, where he's playing well and enjoying his football, to then sit on the bench watching this gormless ****wit flap at crosses and generally **** himself whenever the ball gets near him.

I can only hope they are trying to keep his value high by increasing his contract , because outside of the occasional long distance shot saved .. I am struggling to find what he actually does well ... he does not command his box, his distribution is atrocious, he cannot come for a ball, he cannot set up a basic wall, he is targeted game in game out .. he gets beaten at his near post more times than not ... he looks to start a break off and sends the ball straight to the opposition.. weakest 1st choice goal keeper we have ever had .. well in my memory anyway

I am stumped as to what this contract extension would achieve though. He had 2 years left on his contract in May. We are not going to get more than 5-6 million for him whether he has 2 years or 5 years. No point in trying to rationalize this decision though. The genius behind the contract extension were the same brains who decided to send this player out on loan and replace him with Mignolet.
