Well lets try and fill it, he's average, proven average, if we have to go through a different goalie every season till we find the right one then thats ok, just get rid of proven failures. I dont buy the nonsense that they aren't out there anyway, there will be some good options, we just have to be good enough to find them if the likes of Oblak aren't gettable.

Ederson looks excellent by the way, shame City didn't stick with Bravo for 4 years.

It really annoys me what we've done with Ward. He's basically lost a season of playing time unless Klopp puts him in. All this bollocks that he's for the cups. We got knocked out of the Thai Energy Drink Cup by Leicester at the first attempt, so we only have the FA Cup. He'll get what, single numbered games there, depending on how favourable the draw is.

Klopp's not going to have a better time to switch keepers. I'm pretty sure he said not too long ago in an interview (maybe for a German audience) that he wouldn't be allowed to chuck Ward into league games and rotate with Mignolet because of pressure to play a keeper consistently. Now, he's got the opportunity.

Huddersfield wanted him and he would have been first choice there a year of PL football would have given him a chance to develop and a better chance for us to assess him. For me making him stay only makes sense if he is going to play or he is 2nd choice and our only backup. Neither of which seem to apply.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’d give Ward a go in the league & keep Karius for the CL at this stage. mig is simply not good enough & should be replaced ASAP.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Don’t think Ward is any worse than Mig - may as well give him a go in the Prem. Unfortunately, Karius looks worse than Mig.
            Another MASSIVE game

**** it, put danny ward in and stick with him.
he is only 24 but also 6' 4" and we all love a big lad in goal.

the mignolet comedy roadshow just cannot continue. he needs to be moved well away from the first team so there in nothing to tarnish ward and his progression now.

yet again i will call into question the possible lack of quality in our coaching staff.
the goalkeeping coaching seems to be one of the biggest ****ing jokes.
peter gulacsi is now the hottest keeper in bundesliga with RB leipzig yet couldnt get a game for us.

some ****ers in the backroom staff are getting an easy ride.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Shot stopping is not Mignolet's issue. As shown of Sunday it's the command of his box, coming for crosses, communication, distribution which incorporates his weak and imprecise kicking.

Yes, I agree. It's just funny to see him top any sort of statistical table when, overall, he's not a very good modern day goalkeeper.

Probably would top a penalty save percentage as well. Such a shame he's not very good at the rest.

This isn't a new issue, Mignolet will always let you down eventually regardless if he has a good patch of form. Him and Lovren together are like Kurt Cobain and a shotgun, a bad combination.

Part of me thinks its a trust thing and Klopp has been too patient with players. But then you think he's actively tried to replace Mignolet and Lovren so it can't be that, its a mess right now and it needs resolving in the next window or, IMO, Klopps time here may well be wasted.
