I would love to see Danny Ward given a run, can’t see how he is going to be any worse than the other two dithering pillocks.

Under 35m. How much do you think he's worth in this January transfer window if we moved in for him now? It wouldn't be anywhere near that price. How many points has he indirectly won the club by giving his brain dead defenders like Otamendi confidence?Originally posted by RedReet View Post

This is the bit I really, really, really don't get. Same with Robertson over moreno. If Moreno hadn't got injured we'd never see Robertson this season. Don't care how much Moreno 'improved'.Originally posted by Tee View PostI would love to see Danny Ward given a run, can’t see how he is going to be any worse than the other two dithering pillocks.
The attackers in training should nobble both our keepers.

I don't really understand the sticking with Mignolet. Karius and Ward are similar ability but younger and could improve. Mignolet has reached his peak and isn't good enough.
I didn't understand the decision to bring Ward back and give him no game time when he could have had a season of regular first team football elsewhere. Maybe he's not good enough but kicking his heals around the training ground isn't going to improve him.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The most expensive goalkeeper of all time cost the same as an Andy Caroll five years ago. Given how cheap goalkeepers are relative to their importance and other positions, I am surprised we did not try for one this summer.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHe's the most expensive goalkeeper of all time and it turns out he's good. I agree it is not easy but the fact that we did not even try ( no links to anyone from the credible sources) bothers me. I don't watch a lot of other teams games but looking at some of the statistics like saves per goal, we appear to have the worst goalkeeper in the premier league.
Of course, we cant read too much into stats, but if we were to offer the option of replacing their goalkeeping options with Mignolet and Karius to other PL clubs, my guess would be atleast 10 of them would say no.
I hope we make an effort to sign someone good this transfer window. Given the low price of goalkeepers, the return on investment would be huge.

Yeah I think that's it from Simon, he came to us with a reputation as a great shot stopper, since then he has not really developed, his distribution is still questionable, he does not clean out his lines well and even his shot stopping ability is on the wane now. That and his face has never fitted. Surely Karius should get another crack at the number 1 spot for the 2nd half of the season, I think hes be ok in the CL so far and moves the the ball a lot faster than Migs, if it was not for Nuer he would have been the number 1 goal keeper in the German Lg, the lad has talent.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. By rights Karius needs a run but he's hardly set the world alight, but I'd be inclined to give Ward a go too. None of that changes the fact that it was a world record fee. You can't describe a world record fee as 'not very much'. Not to mention that transfer took place at the start of the summer, before transfer fees went through the roof.Originally posted by BigChief View PostUnder 35m. I would like to see us get someone like Fahrmann. He would still not be a cheap option, but is in his prime, is a high quality all rounder in goals, is big and imposing, and is vocal/an organiser at the back.
Plus I always like keepers that are not afraid to take out a few players when coming for a ball.
