In all seriousness, I haven't been a fan from day 1, but at that price he's a decent shout for a mid table PL team. I can only assume it's the wages that clubs are finding prohibitive.
Wages will be the massive problem, he'll be looking for 4years minimum and that puts the deal around £30m inclusive of wages.
I reckon a loan fee to a PL club and take a chance at him rebuilding his career a bit with less pressure and we can shift him on in a year.

Presumably they keep asking until they get the price they want.

Simon Mignolet remains keen on a move to Napoli – but the Serie A side are facing a race against time to snap up the Liverpool goalkeeper.
The Reds have been asking for £12million for the 30-year-old, whose five-year stay at Anfield is effectively over following the signing of new first-choice keeper Alisson Becker.
No club, though, has been close to meeting that valuation, prompting Liverpool to consider lowering their asking price.
Napoli have been long-time suitors of Mignolet, with his agent Nico Vaesen now admitting the player would welcome a transfer to the San Paolo but warning time is running out to strike a deal with the transfer window in Italy closing next Saturday.
“Mignolet likes Napoli and the interest is not new,” said Vaesen, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“Napoli have enquired about the player on several occasions now in previous transfer windows.
“There's no confirmation of a move to Napoli, though, and we'll have to wait to see if in the next few days they make an offer.
“Considering the market will close in a few days, I imagine they'll have to make a move soon if we want to continue the talks so that everyone can reach an agreement.”

I don't really understand how we got £12m for Ward and no-one will pay the same for Mignolet. He'd be a decent GK for any of the non-top 6 PL sides. Leicester just paid £12m for a backup keeper so it's not like we are asking stupid money. Are wages the issue or has his stock really fell that much? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
