Henderson just tries to be too smart. He has carrying his ****e performances from the U21's this summer into pre-season

Toure can defend but doesn't seem confortable with the ball

Skrtel looked very sharp

Sterling looks much quicker

Ibe is a star. Didn't give the ball away once and that run for the goal was fantastic.

I think all 3 of Ibe, Raheem and Assaidi should be in pecking order ahead of Downing. I don't dislike Downing as much as some people seem to but he really plays it safe too often.

Spot with the with the Downing point. He was actually decent in the first half but seems reluctant to take a risk and plays it safe, his lack of assists/goals. Assaidi is a very good player. And Ibe really is on another planet - 17 years old!

Ibe and Sterling need to play this season. They're both excellent prospects with a bright future. I think Wisdom shouldn't be going anywhere either. Don't understand why we signed Toure when we've got him in the squad, no offense to Kolo.

I would definitely start Kolo ahead of Wisdom, Skrtel and Coates.
