Pre Season Tour thread

Have our opposition been good enough so far? Does anyone think we've had it a bit too much our own way? Winning is good but if the players aren't being tested it could cost us going into the season, Celtic will be decent enough at the weekend but the rest seems to have been very straight forward.

With Sturridge yet to return things look positive. Would have been good for the defence to get a shut out but that aside that was pretty good.

Michael Owen made a similar point, and I suppose there is an element of validity to it. Teams with more talent and ability to press us, move the ball around and keep a team defensive shape would enable us to actually see how we react in those situations. The only team I'd say who came close was Olympiacos, and we put them to the sword.

The stand-outs for me today were Borini and Aspas. Their movement off the ball is so crisp it's unreal. Downing did well today, finding space and moving into it. Allen was another positive, getting into space, which he and Luis Alberto used to good effect in the first half.
Ibe is going to be a special player. If he and Sterling can really develop their shooting, consistency in beating their man and cutting inside when necessary, our wings are going to be sorted out for the next decade.

all good results but the standard of opposition hasn't been great. A few people mentioned that when our pre season fixtures came out.

Only seen first 20 mins, some great goals. Aspas doing very well IMO, **** defending from Hendo for their goal but nice to see us scoring form set piece even if it was sloppy.

Sterling goal was fantastic
