Henderson? Henderson is that big an outsider he's standing on one of Duncan Oldham's bins peering over the wall watching training. He's quiet as a mouse.

Can't go wrong with Lucas or Agger......................Agger is vocal, but usually in an 'always moaning' way for me. Lucas is more omnipresent, and is always there to be counted.

      The outstanding candidates anyway.

As one of our longest serving players, Pacheco must be in with a shout.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Or maybe reward Suarez's loyalty by making him the VC
          Glenn Johnson for certain...

            I'd go for Downing.
            Oh I don't know.

                Very good.

I just figured that the role of VC is pretty meaningless and serves no real purpose. So a bit like Downing.
                Oh I don't know.

Lucas will probably play more games than agger but agger is the more natural leader.

lets give it to sterling. he's already shown he can handle the responsibility of being a dad of three at such a young age. why not

It'd be Toure for me but its likely to be Agger

He really isn't - he's England under 21 captain and as vocal as any player we have now Cara has gone. I'm not saying I want it or think he'll get, just that he could be an outsider for the role due to his experience as a captain from a young age.

It'll be Suarez if he stays.

i think you cant make toure the VC unless agger, lucas & johnson turn it down. otherwise it says a lot about the character of the players that are already there.

Never mad about new players coming in and 'assuming' captaincy roles. Nothing against Kolo or anything as he's done the job elsewhere, but I always feel it should fall to someone who already has the respect of the others for what he's provided to the team's heart already.
That said certain personalities can feel right at home straight away............call it a rule of thumb I suppose, sort of like keepers and forwards should never be captains (but it has happened).
