    1st choice would be Agger, but I think it will be Kolo, although it'd be unfair.

      Agger first choice, Lucas second.

      Reina is mentioned as a candidate, but I wouldn't want a keeper as captain, you need your captain to be able to go and discuss issues with the referee and the keeper is often too far away to be able to do anything.
      The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

              Yeah I sort of agree.

              I think Agger will get it (and I think he should), but I wouldn't be shocked to see Toure named as vice-captain.

                Personally i wouldn't be happy with that sinario because of the fact that Agger has worn the shirt long enough and shown that he has the respect of the players and fans to deserve his chance but, if Aggers out of a game for any reason then,personally i think Lucas should be given the nod, but hey, what do i know

                  Agger for me too. I wouldn't be unhappy with Lucas but if Suarez signs a new contract, would it be beyond the realms of ridiculousness to make him vice captain?

                  It might make him think twice about doing something stupid.

                    See what youre getting at but don't think thats a great idea given the more worthy candidates already mentioned. I dont see how Suarez has earnt it in any way either.

                      Not a chance. For me he would need to go at least 2 seasons without any incidents of stupidity before he'd be wiorth considerring as vice captain.

                      You cant have a nutter leading the team.

                      Aggar all the way. Lucas just doesn't strike me as the leader type.
