I've seen Dalglish, Rush, Souness, Hansen at their best but Stevie has been amazing for LFC for so many years, I'm leaning towards him being our greatest ever player. Unbelievable and highly unlikely we'll ever see another like him. Makes me really sad that he'll be gone in a few years.

Souness is the player who really inspired me as a kid - it seemed like he was made of granite and he was an absolute beast, but I think Gerrard is our greatest player ever.

Souness was my favourite. He could walk out onto any pitch in Europe and create fear through the whole opposition team but Kenny was the best maybe until now ......

Dalglish still just shades it for me, though those 6 league titles and 3 European Cups as a player probably do colour that somewhat. Clearly our 2 greatest ever anyway.

Totally with you on the sadness thing though. I so would love for him to get one last moment of real glory in these next couple of years, one last blockbuster from 30 yards to win a major trophy (CL or League would be nice but I'd take another FA cup just to be realistic) and cap it all off. With this club and this guy's career I wouldn't discount it entirely....

Why? It's a free channel with a very limited budget. If ESPN and BT are going to give us money to broadcast our matches, who are we to complain?

It's on LFC.TV and the channel will have the replay, so nothing wrong with that IMO.

Its a game to celebrate the service of the clubs greatest player so it should be available to all fans. I'm not bothered as i have a membership so will watch it on the website. Just think its a little disappointing for people who cant watch it and rerunning the game at midnight on LFCTV isn't very practical.
