Stoke Build Up

I know it's a bit early, but just had a quick look at how Stoke are preparing, so thought I'd share.

Beat Wrexham 1-0 on Saturday, Walters scoring again and that's the third win on the trot for them without conceding, albeit against poor opposition.

So far their only signings have been Marc Muniesa, a young defender from Barca and Erik Pieters, a LB from PSV.

So despite our **** record against them, you would have to think this is shaping up for an easy win for us. They barely scored away from home last year and still haven't added to the attack, so a clean sheet should be on the cards you would imagine.

I can't wait.

Oh, and it being an early KO, we should also hopefully have team news through before the FF deadline.

I never expect us to win our opening fixture, but this should be a really outstanding opportunity to do so.

No idea how they have played, although I think Crouch has been the lone striker.

Think and hope they’ll struggle this year, so would actually like to see them go down.

Despite our dodgy record v them I dont think you have picked a better opponent to start really, not a promoted side high on confidence and not one of the good sides. Just mid table **** with no real reason to be confident or optimistic.

I'm getting a vibe we'll put on a spectacular show and end the weekend 2nd in the league behind Spurs who will put on the most remarkable of performances in their win at Palace.

I do think that psychologically getting off to a winning start this season is going to be hugely important for us. I think we've got a good start to the season fixture-wise. We also have an opportunity to play United early. I really think we can do them. If we're right up there after that game I think we'll have the belief to push on and it could be a great season.

Sadly this is Liverpool and it hardly ever works out that way for us. Stoke to win 0-1

I'm excited for this one but we'll be without Suarez and Sturridge so I can see it being a little bit more tricky than we expect. Added to that their players will be looking to impress the new manager I can see them being properly up for it.

Is what I think we'll see us starting with unless we can manage to bring in someone decent before then.

I'd take a 1-0 as it stands because I'm always nervous about getting a good start and we rarely manage to! I predict we'll create a **** load of chances though.
