Even if he did give us much more on the left than anyone in the team at present (which is debateable), that still isn't really saying much.
The point is even when he wasn't playing to his best he was still a solid option on the left, he could pass and cross very well, even if the rest of his game was poor at times. At his best he can beat his man, shoot on goal, take a decent free kick/corner.

The point is a poor Harry Kewell is better than anything we have on the left at the moment, and an on form Harry Kewell is one of the best players we have on our books.

No mate he's just recovering from his 4 operations he had last month, I heard he had come back to Liverpool now but I don't know how true that is.

We do miss Harry. Not because he's generally all that great for us, but because he's the only wide player we have that seems to commit defenders, ever.

Benitez: Kewell has strength to returnNov 15 2006

By Ian Doyle Chief Football Correspondent, Daily Post

RAFAEL BENITEZ is convinced injury-jinxed Harry Kewell has the mental strength to resurrect his Liverpool career.

Kewell is not expected to return to full training for another two months after the succession of fitness setbacks that have wrecked his season.

Benitez believes Kewell, who has not appeared for Liverpool since hobbling off during the FA Cup final against West Ham United in May, can again make an impact at Anfield.

"Harry still has a future here, and I am positive he can come back," said the Liverpool manager.

"Harry is now working with the physios but he will need at least two months before he can begin training with the team again.

"He is okay mentally. He knew he had an injury problem, but now he is mentally in a right way.

"He had two or three things wrong with him, but it was his toe that was causing the major problem.

We think the injury has been sorted, so when he returns to training it will just be a matter of getting him match fit."

Mohamed Sissoko is Liverpool's only other long-term injury concern, with the Malian ruled out for three months by the dislocated shoulder suffered in the Carling Cup win at Birmingham City.

And Benitez added: "If we have Harry Kewell and Momo Sissoko coming back in January, then it will be like signing two new players."

Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest Valencia are considering offering Reina the opportunity to return to his homeland at the end of the season.

A returning Harry Kewell and Momo in January will boost the squad significantly, I just hope we aren't too far off the pace for their returns to make enough of an impact.

Hopefully we'll Sissoko back for the Chelsea game Jan 20th and Harry hopefully back for the Feb 3rd game V the blue ****e.
