So what do we think about Spurs then?
        Oh I don't know.

i do agree to a certain extent. i have always felt that Est has been very good at softly moderating threads and some of them can be very funny. It's why i've always enjoyed this site compared to other forums, RAWK for example is mental

but i do agree with MrM that over the course of the summer some of the 'jokes' have been dragged out far too much, they've been done to death, buried, dug up and then done to death again

FFS. Anagrams were about twenty or thirty posts.

What pisses me off is the stupid, repetitive crap spouted about football in the LFC forum.

We all have our crosses to bear I suppose.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Don't read the LFC forums then, better to have repetitive football related crap then sifting through post after post of pictures and other bollocks. In the numerous other sections of site, I don't think anyone has a problem with it.

Oh ok, Bob, that seems totally unfair. Because I find it tedious when the same people - and there aren't many - repeat the same old crap about football I have to stay out of the LFC forum. Whereas you can argue that what you don't like shouldn't be posted. In short the jokes = that's what we're talking about here - that you find funny or entertaining are fine, the ones you don't like shouldn't be there.

                      Brilliant.

I happen to like reading interesting posts about football and especially LFC. I don't like reading unsubstantiated and baseless and illogical ****e about Jordan Henderson being sold on the basis of some stupid interpretation of a few, highly selective facts. But it keeps on coming. The manager can't get the defence to deal with high balls. We have to pay high wages or else Spurs will nick our targets. Spurs are the new Barcelona. And so on.

FYI I follow the rules of the football forums. For instance, some time ago the rules were changed so spoiler tags were required for off-topic pics in the football forums - so I use them. Lots of others don't.

I take total responsibility for what I post but I'm not taking the blame for ****e posted by others. Ok?

MrM said the modding of the football forums would be tightened up now the season has started. Fine. At last there's something to talk about. Although the number of amusing (or "amusing" - take your pick) posts about Willian suggests the propensity for ****e persists. I'm not complaining...but then neither are you.

So if you can furnish with me grounds for why what you like is acceptable while what I like isn't then that would be great.

In the meantime, a bit more 'live and let live' might help. If things go too far the mods will say, as MrM did the other day.

Sorry mate, stressful day, on reflection whilst I do find the dog and cat pictures tedious especially in the football related threads, it really doesn't cause me any pain. In reality I'm not that bothered. Oh and I was completely taking the piss when I mentioned bandwidth the other day. Let's move on.

Thanks, man, it's ok. I suppose I was fighting my corner but I wasn't having a go at you so I hope it didn't come across like that. And sorry to hear you've had a stressful day.

Just for the record, in case anyone else is reading this, I have toned it down since MrM's post.
