Shaky last few minutes. Nice first half though. Like the play up front. Henderson looks lost out there though. Need Cout in the middle.

Very promising first half from us. Movement has been smashing, we have constantly looked a threat, and Aspas looks like he has played in the team for yonks.

Stoke had a two or three goal scoring chances, but we musthave had three times that. Would be nice to see a second go in early in the next half to give us a little bit of a cushion.


Negatives would be how poor Henderson looks in terms of energy and being able to link up with his teammates. We have also looked a little open to the fast counter attack.


All things considered, I think we have made a better start than many would have expected.

Outstanding first half from us. Few jitters from Mignolet. Doesn't command his area that well yet but that's gonna come with confidence/game time. Great save from Walters though. Things are looking good on the attacking front.

Very impressed with that. Aspas has looked very good as has you're at the back. Mignolet looks a bit nervous but has done ok.

Well that was entertaining. A bit nervy the last minute or so but happy with most of that.

Dominated that half but i think we can see that one goal is not enough. They are evil from set pieces. Lucas,Gerrard,Enrique & Coutinho have been excellent. Aspas done well, Hendo lost out wide & apart from cracking save Mignolet looks so dodgy from crosses and set pieces.

So many positives going forward and our general passing, but the achilles heel seems to be set pieces against this type of physical side. We need another goal and then we can start to breathe easier.

Zonzi deserved that yellow,, lucas did not considering it was Walters with the push off on him! and how the heck did atkinson give that last minute corner to them considering it came off that 6'4 brickhead huth?

other than that we deserved to be leading, lucas is boss in the midfield, couts is running rings around their midfield and picking up fouls (i expect more yellows for them if they keep it up..if not shocking refereeing)...
