Love the reaction of the Stoke fans in the background.

Goodness how big is Toure's junk to be showing from that angle?

I am hoping that Toure will be more adept at handling physical fowards and contrary to reports, he doesn't seem to have lost much of his pace.

We held quite a high line against Stoke, something we could never do with Carragher and it will interesting to see if we would do the same with a team as quick as Villa on the counter.
Perhaps youre right. But at least they wont have as much time to prepare for each match. It will also give our boss another chance to spot weaknesses in their play against poper opposition. And if Chelsea give them a hammering they could be more fragile against us - especially the younger players.

But we will have to wait and see. It also very much depends on which LFC that turns up.

One thing I noticed that I don't think has been mentioned. I remember Rodgers talking last season about the pressing game, and how he wanted to instil in the team certain triggers of when to press and when not to press. I spotted during the Stoke game that we had a definite trigger when the Centre Back played a square ball to the left back. It happened a few times and as soon as that pass was made Henderson was straight onto the left back with Aspas sprinting at the Centre Back and the rest of the team getting tight.

It's not earth shattering but it's another little sign of how the tactics are evolving. We didn't see so much full team pressing last season, even though most of us were expecting it. It will be interesting to see whether it continues or whether it was a Stoke-specific thing (maybe their left back is weak on the ball).
