That was crazy. At least were keeping up our reputation of giving plenty of thrills in cup games.

BR can't win really. If he puts out a young team and we lose he gets battered for not playing the senior players. If we play the seniors and we lose a couple through injury then he should have played the kids because its only the carling cup.

We should have won that. Rodgers out.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

              This

Result should never have been in doubt regardless of what team we picked, we should **** these, their biggest game or not they're ****ing ****.

Annoyed we had to go to extra time and ended up paying the price with a key player looking likely to miss united

On top of that key players will have played a lot longer than needed

              Plus two squad players injured

We're through, we won, great move on.

The injuries were avoidable. Rodgers out.

I'm pleased that with 10 men they dug in and secured the win, that shows a bit of character, also if we are going to have injuries, now's the time with just under a week in the transfer market.

I think we would have lost that game last year having been pegged back and down to 10 men. Shows an improving mental toughness. We're a young side and as Sturridge said we might have got a bit complacent second half.

Toure being out (looks a bad injury too) is a blow but I think these kind of wins for a young team can help the players develop a never say die attitude.

After all, the bottom line is that we were down to 10 men and the players stepped up to win 4-2.
