Valencia is a tank but I loved it when he bounced off Enrique twice. Enrique was excellent yesterday - never seems to get any credit yet is the first to take a load of stick when he's below par. Sure he's erratic but he's not half as bad as some make out. When he's good, he's very good.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think the way we play asks a lot of our fullbacks. I think it's telling that they are the ones that seem to take most of the abuse from fans (Johnson and Enrique). We ask an awful lot from them in the way we play, and it puts them under a lot of pressure. Both of them have clear weaknesses, but I think they're both very good players and deserve more respect

I thought he done okay, not excellent IMO. I agree that when he is good he is very good, but when he is bad he really is dreadful and at times yesterday he showed both those sides to his game. Hopefully Cissokho will provide the competition he needs to perform consistently well in order to retain his place.

Either that or Moyes is absolutely clueless
I think our defensive shape is much much better this season, whether that is due to work on the tactics or just the personnel playing or both not sure but its a massive improvement

That said we have seemed to retreat and sit deep far too much for my liking during the second half of the games

As for United I think what the last few games have shown is that Fergie worked miracles with a rather ordinairy squad. Other than Van Persie & Rooney how many of that squad would you actively pursue if you were a top side?? The rest look very ordinairy to say the least

We scored in the 4th minute and were able to defend that for 91 minutes (if you include the injury time). Against manure.

I believe, I really believe now.

Yeah I'd like to see how they fare this year with only the squad they have now with Moyse in charge. Same squad as Fergie then we can compare fairly

They looked the epitome of a one man team yesterday really

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but we could have done with a target man yesterday. I think we lost about 90% of long balls. We just don't have any attacking players currently playing who are strong in the air.

Also, I disagree with the points that Man U don't have a very strong squad. I think they've put together quite an expensive assembly and the subs yesterday (Valencia, Nani and Hernandez) just show how far ahead they are (in terms of squad). I would say they are missing a creative midfielder though.

United do have a very strong squad. It's nice to get them at start of season before they gel. Would also have been nice yo play Spurs,Chelsea & City early in the season before they gel too.

But United will be there and there a bouts.. as they always are.

Before they gel? Their squad is virtually unchanged.

I think Nani & Hernandez are pants personally.

They just need to get used to Moyse's crap style of Managing.

Yep, extremely ordinary, theres not many in that squad I'd be like wooowwwwww must have if they were for sale, we could get em etc. Before theyve always been loaded with brilliant players everywhere, very few now. It's a top 4 challenging squad that turns in to a title challenging/winning one with the help from officials. Cant be many occasions in the last two decades theyve gone two games without even creating a great chance.
