The Guardian report says Cleverly was booked for the foul on Coutinho...

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Looking at our league games in Sept and Oct, we need to keep the momentum going big time. This ****in international break is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, but if we can come through that unscathed, then there is every reason to be optimistic.......

      Next 6 games:
      Swansea (a)
      Southampton (h)
      Sunderland (a)
      Palace (h)
      Newcastle (a)
      WBA (h)

i think the capital-one match at old toilet might be a pain in the arse as well.....

Can't help but think the next 6 league games should all be 3 points which will then take us into November. One match at a time though!

Not sure if I'm alone in this but I don't see a big future for Raheem, he just isn't strong enough to beat his man and given his body type I don't see that changing.
Maybe he'll be a late grower...still only young & has the potential. Just send him to gym with Jose's big arse! Kelly looked kinda tonk too today!!

Thanks everyone for clarifying my uncertainties over Marriner's performance.

It occurs to me the only reason I'm not slagging him off for not sending off Van Persie is because we won.

                So forget what I said.

                As you were.

Away at Swansea won't be a walk in the park.
                  Are we winning?

No doubt we'll drop some points in the next six games, but we're definitely looking stronger as a unit and the players are working for each other. I really like the direction we're going in.

He's only 18 (I think). I'm sure he'll be on a weight strengthening program, but remember it will take time. He also needs to learn how to position his body better so that he shields the ball.
