"For the watching Hodgson, coming to terms with the loss of Rooney, Sturridge’s vibrant form is well-timed. Hodgson was sitting in the scouts’ section, effectively the front row of the press box, and was unimpressed that he also had not been invited into the chairman’s suite, which is usual Premier League protocol for a visiting England manager, but had been directed to the small scouts’ quarters downstairs."
Why would we do such a thing? Not because of his "connection" with the club surely?
The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions to me; the distinction is yours to draw...
I'm still on way home after the match! I'm not going to get back until 9. Thank God we won otherwise this would be an awful journey. Sundays are a bitch to travel London Midland only!
I actually hope it was a clerical error (deliberate or accidental......I don't mind), but I really, really hope that when all this kerfuffle happened, and Hodgson started losing it, that a club official had to go to someone who was sitting in the box to ask if they wouldn't mind making way for the England manager.
Only to be told to 'go back and tell that jowly maggot to piss off'.

Our defensive shape is really coming on, and our pressing has clearly been worked on. We could do with being a bit more compact, but Man Utd are a team that pass the ball quickly, and we did so damn well to press as quickly as possible Henderson was superb in the second half after giving Evra a lot of space in the early stages of the first half. I can only conclude that Rodgers had a little word.
I thought we looked a bit tired in the second half, and that contributed to lack of ball retention. It's probably just me.
Gerrard stood out for me big time today. His pressurising of Andre Marriner, positioning, tackling, just a true leader amongst men. Skrtel showed a lot of character today. He looked as thought he'd played all pre-season and our competitive games. Delighted for him.
And a final mention to David Moyes. An absolute cluster**** of a decision to take off Ryan Giggs, who time and again kept threading passes which caused us problems. Thank you Gollum.
He didn't get us, didn't understand what it meant to be the Liverpool manager and how privileged a position he was in.
F**k him, really set us back.
Should have put him behind one of the pillars in the main stand.

Because he's a Owl cunt and we don't have an aviary at anfield.
