A mixed bag really - great performances from Gerrard, Sturridge, Agger and Skrtel (Mingolet also did well when called upon ). I thought Sturridges goal was a brilliant - showed that killer instinct top strikers have of being able to be in the right place at the right time.
Enrique kept the ball well but didn't offer much going forward - I think this was party because Countinho's forays inside often left him exposed on the counter - a better team would have exploited this. Johnson was decent, provided an outlet going forward but I thought he gave the ball away a bit cheaply at times.
Aspas and Countinho had stinkers - I lost count of the times they gave possession away. Coutinho's saving grace was that he worked his bollocks off when we didn't have the ball and never gave the MU back line any time to play the ball out from defence. I thought Sterling did OK - he got knocked off the ball a bit too easy at times but was was tenacious and provided a good outlet late on which helped wind down the clock.
What the hell was up with Wisdoms throw ins? I think he gave away possession every time he took one.
We've still got lots we need to improve upon, but it was good to see us keep another clean sheet. We definitely deserved the win but I thought United were absolutely ****e - very poor in midfield, really lacking in ideas going forward and gave the ball away constantly. How Wellbeck and Cleverly are getting picked for England is laughable (and just shows how clueless the Bodge is). MU must be gutted that Pogba turned his back on them - he seems exactly the type of player they need right now.

I'm yet to be convinced by disc brakes. Hydraulic maybe, but even then I don't suppose someone who goes as slowly as me really needs them.
