At least we now know we an resurrect this and blame Foster

It's one thing having a great run while dragging ourselves up the table, being at or near the top brings a whole host of other pressures. FWIW, I think we can beat anyone on our day but think the longer we stay up there, the bigger the crumble once we realise where we're supposed to be

Let's not get too carried away, but there's definitely cause for some cautionary optimism at the moment

I'm all for positivity, and it feels genuinely brilliant right now, but we're exceeding our expectations at the moment by a considerable margin. As quickly as things have turned around, they can turn back again. For lots of reasons. So it is way too early to tell the length and trajectory of this currently upward curve, or indeed, blip.
                    Oh I don't know.

Maybe, or could it be that we are just realising our potential. This great start is a marker for the players in terms of changing or bringing in a winning mentality that we really need to succeed.

We're looking like we're creating that mentality slowly now The team spirit at the moment within the squad is excellent. That'll help us massively.

That may all change when Suarez returns and projectile vomits in The Mig's face as he's trying to save a penalty though

I think we are, yes. Nobody expected us to have the only 100% record and be top of the league after 3 games. It's a definite exceed.

If you look at the expectations threads, most were cautiously hopeful that we would challenge, if not achieve, top 4. I'm sure that hasn't changed, but our results so far have been exceptional.
                          Oh I don't know.

I get that. But that was one of many things I hated about Hodgson. His 'managing of expectations'

I am a Liverpool fan, I expect us to win the league every year, realistic or not. I think fans are more than entitled to let there heads run away with the possibilities.

If this was a business we were discussing then I think that way of thinking is the only way. But ultimately this is a Sports team. One with supporters who want nothing more than to be positive and happy when they watch.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

I get that too, but to get all celebratory about it as if something has been achieved is a bit small-time imo. Nothing has been achieved so far. There are 35 games of the league season to go. I know we've had a **** few years, but since when did we celebrate 3 league wins as if it was a major achievement?
                              Oh I don't know.
