We've yet to wobble and these two teams might provide it.

Sturridge's injury is concerning despite the rest. No goals from him means two one-nil defeats after the international break sadly.

On the flip side I can see us bouncing back straight after with four straight wins, so 12 points out of 18.
    One tit for another.

With all due respects to the op, I hate these kind of threads.

I had a Spurs supporting work colleague phone me yesterday asking me if I am going upto Liverpool for the open top bus ride because we are top of the league!!! I mean the audacity From a Spurs fan!

Anyhow, this is the kind of thread I would expect from them.

The next game is the only game we should be thinking of. We have had to take a lot of **** from some deluded fans of late, fans from teams that have never had any success. I say enjoy the moment but there is a long way to go as we all know.

The OP is merely asking how people think we will do in the next 6 games, he's hardly going overboard on our current league position and suggesting we're going to win everything!

Genuinely don't understand people's sensitivity to this thread

Stop it, just stop it. That's exactly what people are complaining about

Poor OP, the guy will never have the guts to open a thread again - hope you do though OP, if you read, we can always use some more contributers

The next 6 games are the real test of where we are at.
If we survive the international break without any more injuries, keep Sturridge fit and add in a fully firing Suarez then we have every right to expect 12 points as an absolute minimum from these next 6 games.

We're just all nervous because we've ****ed up so often over the last 5 years that no-one has any real faith.

If Man C/Utd (under Fergie not knob head)/Chelsea/Arsenal or Spurs had this run of 6 games we'd all expect them to get at least 12-15 points.

We've kept 3 clean sheets, added 2 defenders to the squad and have Moses and Suarez to come in.

                What could possibly go wrong!

                  Of course it does.

Reece's hubris will be the ruination of us.

                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                        You bunch of superstitious wallys

So no, I won't lock it
                        I agree.

There was no triumphalist claptrap in the OP.

                        What follows, however...
                        Oh I don't know.

Threads like this are great for driving out the superstitious.

Anyway, it was started on a wednesday and all threads which start on a wednesday tend not to influence real life.

I think we have made a very encouraging start to the season and look a more stable and organised team and club than many who are experience massive amounts of change to their teams and management.

It could be a very interesting season if we avoid injury as we look a bit threadbare up front.

                              It's been a great start.

Conceivably, we could easily have drawn the opening two if the opposition had taken their chances (I think we only had one shot on target vs. Villa). Maybe our luck has changed

Looking at the next 6, I'm hoping for 14 out of 18 with Suarez coming back and the new players bedding in. I hope Sturridge can maintain his incredible form and we start creating more chances.

                                Swansea v Liverpool
                                Liverpool v Southampton

                                *Suarez back*

                                Sunderland v Liverpool
                                Liverpool v Crystal Palace
                                Newcastle v Liverpool
                                Liverpool v West Brom

obvs want to win them all and they all winnable but it is difficult to do that

i'd be very happy if we pick up 12 points from the 18 - allows for four wins and two losses

                                we'd be Pl 9 Won 7 D 0 L 2 - 23 points from 29

i'd say we're be sitting right up there with that - for example, chelsea (currently 2nd) would need to win 6 from 6 to be on 25 points.

Bare minimum - have to win all the home games! - 9 points minimum wouldn't do us any harm

pick up a win or a couple draws away would be great

                                anything better would be brilliant
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
