Do I dare show my face in here again?
Sorry to the superstitious guys, my mum is hugely superstitious so you're all in good company
I do think we've gained a hard centre that was missing all too often last year. We may look back at that penalty save as a season defining moment, in the first game??? Hope Studge is back for Swansea after a rest and then only one game til Suarez is back. Maybe then we can give Studge a bit of protection.
Swansea is a tough place to go though so I'd take a draw on that one tbf.

If we bring in that amount of points by the end of those fixtures that would be amazing. I'll be shocked if we manage it as it's a big ask but we're on a good run in the league stretching back into last season so it's certainly possible.
FWIW I think this weekend is going to be tough against Southampton.

The next month or so is a really good opportunity to chalk up a decent return of points.
Bit gutted about Monday's result but Swansea aren't a bad team. I think everyone here would've accepted ten points from twelve in our opening four games.

The next 6 Mark II. After these 6 we will be 40% of the way through the season.
Arsenal V Liverpool Sat 2 Nov 17:30
Liverpool V Fulham Sat 9 Nov 15:00
Everton V Liverpool Sat 23 Nov 12:45
Hull V Liverpool Sun 1 Dec 14:05
Liverpool V Norwich Wed 4 Dec 19:45
Liverpool V West Ham Sat 7 Dec 15:00
Obviously we would all love to see 18 points, but what you you be happy with?
I'd be disappointed to lose to Arsenal if it happened but if 5 weeks later we had won 4 and drawn at Everton I'd take it gladly. If we were to lose at Everton I'd want 5 wins from the others.
We should be taking 9 points from the 3 home games and getting a win at Hull anyway so we only really need to take a draw at Everton. That would be +14 points compared to our first 15 games last time round.
If we say a target of 70 points for 4th then we only need to get another 37 points from 23 games - 10 wins 7 draws, 6 defeatsFootball without Origi is nothing

11 from 18 there. Not too bad but we really should have beaten Newcastle.Originally posted by Rafa Justice View PostI don't ever start threads so apologies if this is out of line
Our next six league games look very good for us at first glance. Swansea away looks the trickiest but we've slipped up against lesser sides all too often in the past. What do you think we'll pick up from the following?
Swansea v Liverpool - Draw
Liverpool v Southampton - Loss
*Suarez back*
Sunderland v Liverpool - Win
Liverpool v Crystal Palace - Win
Newcastle v Liverpool - Draw
Liverpool v West Brom - Win
I think 18 points is possible but it's asking a lot for any side to win 9 straight games, let alone us. I'd be satisfied with 12 points from that lot
Was muß, das muß.

I rather look back and say "11 from 18 is a decent haul" than predict "18 from 18 is possible" because whenever we think like this, it's usually after a decent run of results and an air of complacency seems to creep in...
Although I wonder how does Rodgers motivate the troops? Does he do a similar "6 games and these are points we should be getting"? If it were me, I'd stick a printout of the league table on the whiteboard during the pre-match talk and simply say, "this is where we belong".I wear my heart on my profile name.
