I imagine it will be Henderson with Moses and Aspas coming from the bench.

Moses left, Couts middle, Suarez right.

Stevie and Hendo against the weaker teams, Lucas when we expect to defend more.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Id love to see it without Gerrard and Henderson instead alongside Lucas.

Thanks, that's reassuring, but I didn't think you did. I was just responding to the thread title.

Anyway on reflection I think it's Rob Earnshaw.

Brendan will have to have balls of steel to drop Gerrard.

Tad harsh, Gerrar has been very good so far.

I think the whole midfield has been good. Especially defensively. However, we have dropped back and invited teams on at the end of all the games so far this season. Perhaps a change later in games would work. At some point we have to look beyond Gerrard in the middle (I'd be looking to sub him off late in any games we are winning comfortably).

At the minute the only player I would seriously consider dropping is Aspas.

                          -----------sturridge---------------

                          moses-------cout----------suarez

                          -----gerrard----------lucas------

henderson coming in for either gerrard or lucas later in the game.

if gerrard wasnt playing for whatever reason then i think you could go with a very attacking line up ie...

                            ...............lucas.................henderson.... ............

                            moses................coutinho.................suar ez......

                            .........................sturridge................ ................

henderson has the legs to support an attacking front four whereas gerrard doesnt. So effectively when gerrard plays, henderson has to play and this limits the front options to 3 instead of 4.

But stevie should be playing because he;s good enough.

Henderson deserves his place in the team and there is no way I move Suarez out wide. I'm still baffled it's being suggested to be honest.
