    A Ballbreaker

Chelsea have Terry, Essien and even Drogba to do it. ManUre have Rooney, Scholes and Vidic, and even Bolton have it in a number of areas - i.e. someone who can, and is prepared to, kick the opposition. Not only does the hard man approach put fear into the opposition but also motivates players on the team and the fans. Bellamy can do it, but it's not motivational - it's more for his own benefit. Momo does it but appears clumsy rather than tactical. There are too many pansies in this squad. All they do is moan at each other rather than dish out bollickings. I'd love to get someone in the m/f who could grab a game by the scruff of the neck like McMahon and Souness did it for us in the past. It's something the current lot could do with.

We have paletta, I wouldn't fancy a kick off him!

Carra and Gerrard are pretty tough; and Warnock tackles with intent to commit GBH

Gerrard could and should be it, but he seems to believe his own hype and has altered his game accordingly.

Stevie used to get stuck in and enjoyed the odd wild two-footed lunge, especially against the Bluenoses! I'd like to see him get back to that.

Not entirely sure about the Essien-style challenges, but he did used to regularly crunch people and I’d love to see it from him again. Why doesn’t he do it anymore? There can only be one answer – he believes his own press. I honestly believe he thinks he’s Billy Big Bollocks. It really pisses me off.

If he wants to be a central midfielder, he ought to start putting his foot in again. Otherwise he can stay where he ****ing is.

              Get Scot Parker in?

I think solidity is more important than kicking the opposition. All we did against Arsenal was kick them. It was the tactic of losers who could offer nothing else.

Tripping them perhaps - that's not quite what I mean!

Same here, he certainly can put in a thumping challenge can Stevie, he used to do if very frequently in his younger days, now though he does maybe once a game.
Controlled aggression is what it's all about.

This part seems unfair to me.
Ill agree he is not being the leader he should be but he does those things.

I say Gerrard, Carra, Hyypia, Momo, Kuyt, Warnock can stand toe to toe with anyone.

We used to have Babb for that.
                          Unfortunately it was his own.
