I also think we'll see Zaha, Januzaj, Nani, and probably Hernandez..
Quick skilful players who could cause us some problems and maybe turn things around for Moyes..I hope not.

Ibe & Suarez could be the key players in this game..

I don't think Sakho is a bad player - I just think that a left footed centre back wasn't a priority and that 17m would have been much much better spent on the likes of Eriksen

No RVP for united according to sky.

I think the 'much much better spent on the likes of Eriksen' case should be made for Aspas and Alberto rather than Sakho, since the two play in the positions Eriksen would have occupied. (And especially since Eriksen seems to be playing well, while Aspas hasn't and Alberto not given the chance to.)

I think the impatience for a gelling side with slick movement, one touch passing and each move finished with style..what we are all looking for....is quite outstanding....

Give BR abreak, give Aspas, who isn't being below average on purpose, a break..

This is a poxy cup we mocked not so long ago but it's against the Mancs.. win and win well is what we all want.

However if we don't it's not the end of the frikkin' world, like it or not we are a new team under construction.

Who knows why we bought Sakho? Maybe it was because he was available at the right price and right age, a jig-saw piece in a greater plan we don't know about. Maybe he was earmarked for next year and the midfield general we wanted Mick Ryan went elsewhere.

Anyway he stepped in earlier than expected, thrown in and he has been busy. All in all I think he has done well all things expected.

When have we given new blood 10 minutes and a cup of bovril to settle in? Oh since Lucas that's when...

              Jog on....

and do we get extra points for predicting a full time draw, the extra time score, and then the result after penalties
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Kagawa is a Liverpool fan apparently? Maybe that why Moyes won't play him?

Luis Suarez could make his return from his 10-game suspension for Liverpool against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

The Uruguayan has been absent since the FA handed down his punishment for the Branislav Ivanovic biting incident, and Brendan Rodgers may look to introduce back into the starting lineup as soon as possible to ease the burden on Danny Sturridge.

The England striker has been Liverpool's only source of goals this season, and the Liverpool boss could look to rest him after a low-key performance in the defeat to Southampton last Saturday.

As it's the Capital One Cup, Rodgers may well give a few of the youngsters and fringe players the opportunity to impress - so don't be surprised if Andre Wisdom and Raheem Sterling get playing time.

Similary, Iago Aspas has been in and out of the starting lineup this season as he looks to get up to speed in the Premier League. He could get a chance from the start at Old Trafford.

Daniel Agger is expected to miss out through injury, while Joe Allen (hamstring), Philippe Coutinho (shoulder) and Glen Johnson (ankle) are all set to miss out as well.

Simon Mignolet could get a rest with the Reds set to travel to Sunderland next Sunday, in which case back-up Brad Jones would deputise.

And after the Southampton defeat, don't expect Rodgers to try the four centre-backs experiment again. With Johnson still out, Wisdom could come in, while Enrique came off the bench against the Saints.

                      Possible Liverpool XI

Jones, Wisdom, Sakho, Skrtel, Enrique, Henderson, Leiva, Sterling, Moses, Aspas, Suarez
No Allen according to this. Or lazy journalism?

Awesome team, Allen will provide the engine in midfield. This team would have destroyed Southampton. Hopefully it will destroy an RvP-less manure.
