Newcastle created nothing, we had all teh better chances but missed with poor headers.

It was a **** match, they got a speculative goal, we got an unsurprising penalty against a dodgy defence and now we'll go on to win.

We've missed Lucas though, but luckily we won't pay for it.

We miss Coutinho much more than we miss Lucas.

An undeserved lifeline that, we've been static and watching Newcastle run past us.

Moses looked good in the first 20 minutes but Sturridge and Suarez have been kept quiet apart from maybe 1 or 2 occasions but they are just so dangerous!

Lets see if we can push on now and put a couple past these because even with 10 men they have Cabaye, Remy and Ben Arfa who are all more than capable or hurting us on the counter.

Oh and I love the way Sakho just roles the ball into midfield.

He didn't touch the ball for the first 10-12 mins. Was involved in a couple of decent moves after that, but needs to do more. Hopefully he'll have the space to run riot in second half.

I do think that Suarez' touch to get in front of M'Biwa was pretty good. Totally took him out of the game. Extrapolating it looks like Suarez was going to roll it through Krul's legs.

We're completely lacking in energy. Very jaded performance.

If we were that bad then the game would be out of reach but Newcastle had a couple of long shots and one goes in.

We had created a few chances without playing well.

Not a great performance yes.

I think he suffered the same way Suarez and Sturridge did, trying to move the ball maybe too quickly when we finally do get the ball up to them. I though he looked lively in the first 15-20minutes and played a couple of really good balls to Sturridge.

He looks excellent dribbling the ball at defenders but nearly always goes to the right & Suarez has been free on the left a few times. Doesn't trust his left foot maybe?

Would swap one of our defenders out for either Allen or Alberto at this stage. Or either one for Moses.

Moses' poor showing isn't his fault. He's a winger playing in the middle. It's the best option we have but it's not playing to his strengths.

Possibly but I think he's very useful and I wouldn't single him out in that first half because all of our attacking play was rushed and Suarez was equally as guilty of giving the ball away.

Maybe we need to give Newcastle credit because they didn't allow us to settle once they rattled us, a great ball from Sturridge and take from Suarez had turned they game.

I don't think there is ever a situation in which I'd be tempted to bring Alberto to the pitch, but that's me.

I'd be tempted to swap Moses for Alberto.

I almost suggested giving Allen a go and moving Gerrard further forward.

But with them being the two worst players in the team and what-not wasnt sure it was a good idea.
