The context of this draw will only be known at the end of the season but if we fail to beat the big teams, dropping points against this lot will be costly

Yup, he never really recovered from the miscontrol in the first ten minutes or so, followed by the fumbling of the ball when taking a throw-in - he seemed nervous as hell. Obviously he needs time, but Cissokho is fat, and looks as though he should be, but he isn't.Originally posted by vonk View PostIf we are going to play a wing back, it should be Enrique, not sissoko. Thought he was poor today going forward. Doesn't have a trick in his book really. At fault for the goal too.

I thought he got better the more the game went on.
Great last ditch tackle to deny Remy (I think?)

Newcastle didn't sit back, but I do agree we miss Coutinho.Originally posted by vonk View PostCoutinho is the key to unlocking teams that sit back like Newcastle did tidayIf we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Musings:
1/ Frustrated. Feels like two points dropped;
2/ We looked devoid of ideas and lacked that little bit of guile in the the final third;
3/ Sakho seems to grow in stature as the game time rolls in;
4/ Great to see Johnson back on the right;
5/ Hope to never see Moses in the middle again, and;
6/ We ... well, Rodgers, needs to work out how to get Suarez central again, but not at the expense of Sturridge. I guess this will come with time, but I dunno neither.

He was better in the final third than Enrique too.Put in a couple of great balls that the strikeforce stood and watched from outside the box.First start so a ways to go yet but I'd give him more chances to show he's better than Enrique.

Yeah, that was a cracking tackle and a fair comment. I suppose as I play back things in my mind, he contributed a lot down the left on the overlap ... I just think his final ball was lacking and a lot of pacey counter attacks seemed to slow down as he sorted his feet out. But he's still a skinny chubster.Originally posted by Chazza View PostI thought he got better the more the game went on.

I'm probably being arsy because my other half is a Newcastle fan.
