That was by far our worst performance of the season. Need to go back to 4 at the back.

3 CB's is too cautious for me, 4 at the back would mean we have an extra attacking player.

It's not as much the formation as it is not that can ng any midfiequally ith an ounce of creativity bar Coutinho.

Oh he's vital don't get me wrong. But having 3 centre on the pitch just isn't required. It's not like any of them are great.

Looks like we missed out on an opportunity today. Still it's early days and that link up for Sturridge's goal was brilliant.

I think Newcastle played well and especially with 10 men.

We did look lethargic but most of our players played internationals whereas they didn't.

I'm still happy, we're top of the league and Arsenal or Tottenham will drop points today guaranteed!

Point gained in a way. Really lethargic start to the game by the reds. We looked solid, but long shots and set pieces can hurt regardless of the system you go with.

We never really looked snappy enough to get the killer goal, but both Suarez and Sturridge will think they should have won the game for the reds.

We are still missing Coutinho who is thankfully back next week. And despite what people think, playing ten men is not easy. We may dominate the play, but Newcastle sat back and cut off the space making it very difficult to break them down.

We should be winning those games we just didn't deserve to on the back of the performance, if we shouldn't be winning those type of games we can forget about top 4.

Even if we weren't that creative, we created enough to win it and vs. 10 men you wonder why we didn't change tactics earlier. I agree re: top 4. Another poor goal conceded from a set piece.

However its a point and it puts us top for now so I don't want this to be like 08-09 when we went top with a draw and got booed off the pitch!

TBF, it was an easy save until it moved. It was going straight at him right up until the point he would have lost sight. It then appears, still going straight, and then suddenly moves to the side. From thirty yards plus its always gutting to concede, but I don't think it was a massive error.

Anyhow, at 1-1 going into HT, that wasn't the reason we lost the game. The poor defending at the set piece and good defending by NUFC was.

nothing wrong with it, but there needs to be more thought about how to play the CM lads in front of a back three. we seem to have two sitting deep and it should be just one, with two going forward, linking with the attackers.
gerrard doesnt fancy doing the running. maybe we should get him to wear an england shirt under his Liverpool top
henderson can run, but just doesnt seem to have a clue.
so much for sakho, the beast. really looks highly overrated to me.

We totally turned off for their second goal and that's what's pissed me off. Yet again one of our defenders has let his man go and its cost us big time. That Newcastle player will most likely never score another premiership goal in his life.

Is it too much to ask a defender to stay with his ****ing man on set pieces? Its not ****ing hard.
