I realise I've been ever the optimist on here, and I've also mocked Sherwood several times, but for some strange reason the Spurs game has got me worried. Hope I'm wrong.

This is a great chance to win it but we'll still be up there next season too if we invest wisely. I do worry what will happen if Chelsea put a top drawer striker in their squad though.

Getting back into the CL next season & having a real title push this season is going to open up the top tier players to us. This is the summer FSG have been waiting for when we have CL football and we can really add top quality to the team and become a more attractive investment to sponsors.

I can see them really splashing the cash in the summer.

As it stands we seem very much locked in for a CL spot and with little bit of luck and help from Arsenal and/or Everton maybe push it all the way.

Truly incredible season but the key this summer, as it was the last, is to keep Luis and improve the starting line in few critical areas and our squad overall as we will be competing on multiple fronts.

If we do that next year will be as exciting as it is this one.

I still cannot believe it this is happening.

It's unbelievable isn't it? For years it has always been other teams that won the league. Within 4 years we have gone from near financial meltdown to title challengers and its down to the hard work from everyone at the club.

I was looking some stats today and we are 20 points better this year than last year after 31 games and the reigning champs are 26 points worse than they were last year.

Whopping 46 points turnaround in a single year.

maybe we all hoped, but just making the top three will be more than we realistically could have expected. if we go any better than that its the stuff of dreams. to hope the chavs and city both **** it up is almost too much to hope for, but we are in with an outside chance.

this is all coming about a season faster than we expected. we wanted to be close to or get fourth, and to also close the points gap to something to show we are not that far away from being realistic wannabees. well, we have arrived...
