I think we'll beat City and lose to Chelsea.

Dropping 3 points or 4 is a better way to look at it.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostWould people prefer us to draw both games (two points) or win one and lose the other (three points)?
So a win and loss and the bigger points tally for me. 39 points at the halfway mark and all our tough away fixtures done and dusted. Lovely. Best thing is that even 36 points is a good platform

While I'd happily see us play **** and win I'd love to see us really have a go and play well. Two hard fought 1-1s would be ace. A Suarez inspired trouncing of City would induce a flurry of pant ****ting the length and breadth of the country though. That would be funny. I'll go for either 2 or 3 points. What is good is that we get Hull at home on 1st of January and an instant chance to get back on track if City and Chelsea get the better of us.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Well regardless of what happens, we'll still have Suarez and the rest wont. Has to give us a massive advantage.Originally posted by Vermilion View Post6 points between us in 1st and Spurs in 7th, just two games.
A sobering thought, but one i'm not going to think about now.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm trying not to think about the title too much as its so tight at the moment - we have 2 very difficult games coming up which if we lose could see us drop down to 5th place (depending on other results). However, if we were to get 4 points from them then who knows - I might just start to believe a little bit

Not counting United as a tough away?Originally posted by Norbs View PostDropping 3 points or 4 is a better way to look at it.

Good point though as I fancy us against anyone at home.Last edited by Chazza; 22-12-13, 11:06 PM.

We are playing above everybody's expectations atm but it is way too early to think about title even though I have no doubts many secretly are thinking that way.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostMind games from BR.
We are top heading into Xmas, so we have every chance. Privately BR and the players will be discussing giving the title a real go, but not publically. BR is rightly playing down our chances in the press - there's less pressure on us then. Even if we were still top in febuary, i'd imagine BR would still publically play down our title chances.
We're never going to have a better chance. Next season ManU, Chelsea and Man City will all be more settled and improved.
Based on how this season has panned out, id be satisfied with 4th place. However id also be somewhat disappointed.
This season is pretty much anybody's season and there are realistically 7 teams in the mix for top honours.
It's nice to see us at the top of the table but if we lose next 2 games we may potentially finish first half 5th on points with currently 6th Newcastle and 7th Spurs.
You just don't know this season how things may or may not pan out.
For me CL spot is main goal and anything above, if it happens, would be gravy.Last edited by Mostar; 22-12-13, 11:55 PM.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

It's easy to get excited but then I see Everton a couple of points behind and I don't think they're anywhere near as good as us.
Let's wait until March. If we beat Chelsea and City then it will give us a lot of belief but still won't mean anything until there is clear daylight between us and a bunch of others. Was muß, das muß.

Think I'd take a loss against City and a convincing win against Chelsea
