Yup, we definitely were suffering from the pressure but this experience can only stand the likes of Sterling and Henderson in great stead for the future. The great thing is that we are in no way at the top of our potential, I can't imagine what this team can achieve with some of its obvious deficiencies addressed and greater strength in depth. Not having to qualify for the CL is huge too, minimises the number of games to only 3 away Euro trips before Xmas and guarantees that income for our summer spending plans.

Next season is going to be ace

it has been horribly tense, almost unbearable at time to watch, but what a season to be a LFC supporter.

      Enjoyed it so much

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Was down to Johnson. He's a disaster. A liability. A fiasco. A bane in our grand plan. He's a ****ing car crash.
          Are we winning?

              this.

it will always be a rollercoaster, but hopefully a more experienced manager and players will improve and tighten as a unit, learn to close out games when needed.

              what a year
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

No, it wasn't down to him, I never said that at all. However, ~18 months ago he was one of our best players. Now he's one of our weakest links. His form has been pretty terrible in the second half of this season, I honestly think there's a significant chance he would have been dropped if we have any really viable alternatives. Do you really dispute that?

Yes I do. I think people are harsh on him. Very harsh. I won't say more on the matter.

Well I think you have a massive and obstinate blind spot then. Name any one defender in our squad who has performed farther below their previously established level this season? Our defence has been the one thing that has let us down this season, and certainly is the biggest area Rodgers will look for improvement in going forward; there's no point pretending it has all been rosey back there because it hasn't.

I think this has quite obviously been Johnson's worst season since he signed for us, by a significant amount too, and I don't think I'm at all alone in thinking that. Just look at his motm points each season....

                          09/10 - 38 points (5th)
                          10/11 - 33 points (6th)
                          11/12 - 15 points (9th)
                          12/13 - 24 points (8th)
                          13/14 - 1 point (17th)

I'm not trying to make him some sort of scapegoat, I don't believe we could have expected to squeeze even one single point more out of this side, but I am trying to make an objective assessment of where we can improve. If Johnson can get back to his previous form then we're laughing, but if this has been more than a temporary dip we'd be very stupid not to seriously consider his position.

From all of our senior players, he has been the only disappointment this season. I expected Kolo to cost us some points and Skrtel atleast scored a few to make up for his errors but Johnson has offered very little this season. He doesn't seem motivated and he gets beaten at the back post far too often, I would be happy to sell

What he had was pace to break quickly with the ball - ideal for counter attacking play. But, he now dithers on the ball a lot and stilts the play. For a player whose main asset is pace, this is a bit concerning. He just doesn't look comfortable with our style of play and lacks the intelligence that is needed to replace the legs that are going.

At 40k a week, yes. At 80k, no

He's a shadow of what he was when he first joined.

Remember those marauding runs in his first season? He was ace.

I wouldn't call him a liability but he needs serious competition.
