Top level football is about turning up on the day. Pretty much every team at this stage of the season, other than Southampton & Newcastle have something to play for at present. Every team in this league can win on their day if the opposition don't perform at the required level.

We all knew City would turn up tonight. And they'll turn up against Arsenal & us. But Arsenal at the Emirates & LFC at Anfield will also be on their game. Will be great clashes. But what can not be assumed is a victory against the other sides.

Sunderland will fight for their life's if they're given a glimmer of hope. Spurs will be bouncing if Arsenal drop points to City. After their late win v the Saints they'll be dreaming of a top 4 charge, we have to be flying out the blocks. Otherwise our title dream is dead in the water.
    Forwards.......

I don't care. It's all about one place at a time. Get 4th wrapped up. Then get 3rd wrapped up. After that, all out for the title.

I'm almost there on that. If we win our next two I'll be 100%. But yeah, looking good.

Am I dirty for wanting Everton to pip Arsenal to 4th?

No it would be hilarious to see them get 4th and get slapped out at the qualifying round.

If we beat Sunderland and Tottenham then 3rd place is ours I'm sure of it.

It could mean they permanently sign Lukaku... But having Arsenal in the Europa cup would be funny as ****!

Don't care about the Bitters. Potentially having both Arsenal and Man Utd out of the Champions League would signal a seismic shift at the top of English Football. Only good news for us going into next season.

This. Everton would probably get knocked out in the qualifiers anyway.

I'd be happy with an all Merseyside CL final as long as we beat them.

I'd love it if Everton got 4th and got knocked out in the qualifying round like they did in 2005 against Villareal.

I know some Evertonians are bitter ****s and they hate LFC, but I never really returned the hatred. Didn't have a reason to be jealous of them and most of my family are Evertonians. I like Martinez and I want them to do well as long as they don't do as well as us.

I'm sure there was never this amount of vitriol when I was growing up. It was always very friendly rivalry
