There's no way Stevie is letting this one slip like 09 did. He's the driving force on the pitch as Brendan is off it. I don't know what it is but for the last couple of months I've been utterly convinced we are winning it this year and things are nicely going our way.
Seeing us against Sunderland, West Brom & Villa is enough to know we can't take anything for granted. If we turn up in games we'll win, if we don't we can forget the title. It is about momentum though at this stage of the season, only ourselves & City have it. Arsenal our too far away and will be happy with top 4 & a cup. Chavs have the CL to throw all their efforts at. Us & City have nothing else to play for, but they do have a pile up of games coming after the clash at Anfield.
I just hope we can win the next two & head into that City game absolutely flying.
'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
Crazy with Chelsea and City dropping points, we now have a great chance at the top, though I still consider City favorites and Chelsea marginally better han ours.
What a ride this Will be, Can't wait for the game today!
I'm just gobsmacked that we find ourselves in this situation right now. ****ing hell, not even the most optimistic of us thought this was possible, unless they were totally pissed.
I thought it was possible from the start. City and Chelsea are incredibly overrated. Man U were clearly in a false position and Arsenal are just bottlers. There was no other logical challenge for the title than Liverpool.
All this crap about these amazing squads of world-class players City and Chelsea are supposed to have gets disproved time and again.
Liverpool playing at their best are better than the other teams playing at their best and we are more consistent.
I don't get this thing about us not being favourite. We're the form side now with the chance to nail the coffin of our rivals with home fixtures
We aren't favourites because we have the most difficult run in, to win the league we will almost certainly have to beat Man City and Chelsea, whereas a point for City against us means it's still City's to lose
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
