Yes, 3rd would be an enormous success. Whatever happens from here on in.Originally posted by kev776 View PostIf we finish 3rd, would it still be considered a huge success or are we now spoiled and anything other than winning the league would be a massive disappointment?
I'd be disappointed mind, I've started to really want it, I've allowed myself to dream finally. But it wouldn't make it any less a remarkable achievement.
Whatever happens here, give BR a long contract and anything else he desires.

It's mad that we're even in a position to answer that question to be honestOriginally posted by kev776 View PostIf we finish 3rd, would it still be considered a huge success or are we now spoiled and anything other than winning the league would be a massive disappointment?

At first it would feel like a huge disappointment, but once the dust settles I think we'd all feel immensely proud of third and fancy ourselves to win it next year!

I would put it on a par with Forrest winning it late 70's; no-one even considered them at the time; let's hope like forest it's the begining of a very succesful period.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIf we win the league then it will probably go down as one of the greatest wins in Premier League history
To take a team from 7th to Champions in 12 months is incredible and that feat would rival Arsenals unbeatable season imo. We have definitely over-achieved this season whether we win the title or not and Brendan deserves a huge amount of credit
Will we win it? Well its certainly in our hands. Just 6 more wins for the title. 6 more wins is asking a lot though, even in isolation 6 wins on the bounce is an enormous ask but in the wider context of having already won 8 on the spin to put a run of 14 wins together to take the title would be incredible. If we do win the remaining 6 games then we will be deserved winners

There's not much doubt he's played his part, however if he's done his job properly he wont be too involved.Originally posted by Muddled View PostDr Peters' time sheet for the next month will be littered with overtime claims.
I don't think you can underestimate his role in all of this and his input will be vital for the run-in.
His job should be to make people mentally strong, not to prop them up continuously which has the opposite effect.
Will just be BAU for him.

We know he does something, he's been directly attributed before. Though I do struggle to remember where and the context.Originally posted by BigChief View PostHe's got us believing in him without actually knowing if he does fck all! He's a genius!!!
Maybe he can help me with my memory?

If we draw with both Chelsea and Citeh and win the rest, then it's still ours isn't it?Originally posted by BigChief View PostI just can't see us beating Chelsea. Probably a draw. More chance of exposing City's backline and that is a must win, or forget it, game. Then just pray that Everton can grab a draw off them.

I'm assuming you didn't see Chelsea against Palace. On that evidence we'll batter themOriginally posted by BigChief View PostI just can't see us beating Chelsea. Probably a draw. nope - iircOriginally posted by Helios Creed View PostIf we draw with both Chelsea and Citeh and win the rest, then it's still ours isn't it?
that would put us on 85.
if city win all their games and drew to us they would have 89.
if chelsea win all their games and drew to us they would have 85 points so it'd be down to goal difference.
We really have to beat city - that one is key. If Everton could get something, even a draw of them then it would be huge for usi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

We can't afford to draw against Chelsea or City to be honest. We only have a 4 point advantage over City with 2 games more played.
So that means that they can still be 1 point ahead of us if they win their games in hand.
Go here and just type in 1-0 wins to Chelsea, City and us and draws for the games against City and Chelsea. You'll see what we need to do then.
Was muß, das muß.
