****ing hell every game looks losable to me. City supporters must be flapping a bit too and Chelsea fans probably think they're winning the CL.

Maureen's ego will dictate the CL is more important than the league, it is a bigger audience to worship him if he wins it again so we are low down the radar.
I don't think the "title race" thread last year had almost 4,000 replies, I wonder why.Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

I know the ideal scenario is for Atletico to take a slender lead tonight, but Chelsea's second string (if Mourinho focuses on the Champions League) is still pretty decent. All that said, they're pretty impotent upfront. If Eto'o is crocked and Hazard is resting for the Champions League, you do wonder where their goals are going to come from.
The best attack versus the best defence.

Chelsea can't win this title IMO. Even if they win all their three remaining fixtures and finish on 84. We'd still only have to get a win and a draw from our last two to get past them. City too would only need 7 from 9 to pip them. Jose will have all this sussed. Do people really think he'll risk major players in a game for a league he can't win when the CL final lies in wait? He not that daft. Plus the gob****e will always have the satisfaction of saying or implying he handed us the title while pissing off the megarich City owners into the bargain. It may look a decent team he fields on Sunday but I doubt his really big players will start.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostThere is no way that Mourinho won't take our game seriously. He'll want the double. Six games from a CL and PL double - he'd be mad not to really go for it.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Aguero hasn't played enough IMO and Silva hasn't been at his very best this year. Silva was playing well again recently, but a few quiet patches this year.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostI think Baines is very good. Also, regarding the above team, I probably would have picked Silva and Aguero (trying not to be too biased
)
You must have got off to a pretty ****ty start when he wasn't playing.Originally posted by danperkins View PostHaha i did but i didn't see your post. I have Azpilicueta in my FF from the start..he's been superb this season.
Him or Baines for me... nobody else even close.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I am absolutely ****ting myself, but also shaking with excitement whenever I think about it.
I have to shut it out so I can actually do my job and not walk around with a stupid grin on my face. I'm the only Red among Manure and Arse fans at work, they are so bitter it's not true.
I'm 42, far too old to be acting like a kid but **** it!

If you took a week off work do you think your employer would notice any changes in productivity?Originally posted by Sarb View PostTotally ****ting it. Something Ive waited 24 years for, being so close. But Chelsea could counter attack us to **** on Sunday unless we spring a surprise tactic. I think I should have a week off work!Oh I don't know.

If we end up winning it this is what scenes will be like in Liverpool!

You should try and enjoy it Sarb. We're 5 points ahead and can afford a slip up if need be. By slip up I mean a draw, as a loss would give City momentum. But if we can't be a bit more relaxed with being 5 points ahead, we'll never be. There's more pressure on Chelsea and City to product the goods and we've been dealing very well with pressure up to now.Are we winning?
