I dont think it's much to do with destiny, more that we are the best team, playing the best football, scoring the most goals, in the best form and we can afford a draw or even a defeat if City fail to win all their games.Originally posted by dww View PostI have to say I am finding it strange how confident we will win people are, not just on here but in the media too. A lot of people seem to have fallen for the 'destiny' illusion.

We've won 11 Premier League games on the bounce, whilst in that time Chelsea have lost to Villa, Palace and Sunderland. I don't think it's outrageous that lots of people are confident that we'll win based on form.
With the players Chelsea have you can obviously never rule them out though.
I'd say I'm quietly confident*
*AKA absolutely bricking it.

Sorry to drone on about statistics again, but we're odds on favourites now for a reason. We probably win this from here 8 or 9 times out of ten statistically. To blow a lead like this with three games left is pretty unheard of. If anyone can do it though, it's probably us
This season feels different though, it feels special. We kind of lose that feeling midweek when we're inbetween games again, the nerves set in, but as soon as the lads step out on the pitch you're reminded of it again.
I'm nervous now, but once we kick off I'll be reminded again that we are head and shoulders the best team in the league this season, and the champions elect!

If you look at Istanbul whilst the competition was ongoing you never really believed it. When you look back, well when I do, I believe it was destiny

No I don't.Originally posted by Sarb View PostYou dont believe in destiny Dww?

Haha if I remember correctly you refused to give Rafa any credit and put it all down to fate/destinyOriginally posted by Sarb View PostDo you believe its fate/destiny?

I’ve been supremely confident since the United game, hardly any nerves at all, but the more people are saying the title is our now, the more I’ve started to **** myself.
I preferred when people were still doubting us.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

No, not really my thing that. I just think statistically we're extremely likely to win it from here. As I've mentioned though losing the Chelsea game would be a huge psychological blow though and would hand the impetus back to City.Originally posted by Sarb View PostDo you believe its fate/destiny?

For me if we avoid defeat against Chelsea it's all but ours.

for weeks/months everyone has been saying - can liverpool handle the pressure, at some point they will crack - chelsea/city been here before etc etc
liverpool are the only team to continually answer every question asked of them - i said a few weeks ago, that although they won't admit it, both city and chelsea will be looking at us and thinking ****, these guys keep on winning
they've both cracked first - chelsea with their loss to sunderland, city with a loss to us and draw to sunderland.
whilst it hasn't guarenteed us anything, that has at least helped - it's relieved a little bit of pressure....
we've gone from needing four wins from four - to three wins and a draw, to three wins from three - to now two wins and a draw
we can't let it slip - and i'm convinced brendan and the team won't be thinking a draw will do - we will be focused primarily on chelsea and getting a win...and we go again
I also think as well as form, we have a few things in a our favour - we have experienced players who have won leagues before toure/johnson/suarez of the top of my head. Plus the captain gerrard will so focused and then the youngsters like sterling/coutinho are just playing without fear.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
