If we don't win the title there is only one defining moment of the season, and that's Gerrard's slip. Possibility of another I guess as City may need a late goal or make an error themselves.

But the bottom line is going in to today's game we were favourites. City had a slim hope, but had we won today, they'd have known the game was up. Had we drawn, they'd have still been a little deflated. Now, they're walking on the freaking moon.

Our players will be on the floor right now.

Our one saving grace is we are still top of the table. And playing on Monday is now an advantage. We may get a timely boost Saturday evening.

My one requirement now is that we make City get maximum points to win the title. If we drew with Palace and they did the same with Villa, we'd kick ourselves even more. At least we lost the title by losing to a top team, and not a team like Hull.

We have to make sure City have to get to 86 points to win it, that's all we can do now and if after a long season we've matched them on points it will be a terrific achievement. Horrific also if it doesn't win us the league but all we can do now is a make sure they have to win all their games to win it.
