If we're going to win this you just know we're going to do it the Liverpool way

(and kill all our fans in the process)

That's a total of £200.6m of transfers fees who played against us. That might not be all of their first 11, but would comfortably cost more than pretty much any other first 11 bar theirs or City's. Let's not pretend we were playing a bunch of U21s.
No. Lets pretend we ****ed up against a **** Chelsea side and get depressed about it. Crazy

I didn't say they were U21's. The Chelsea first team finished below us in the league most likely. That isn't their first team, not by a long shot. That defence has never ever played together. They offered zero going forwards really. We lost because Stevie slipped, it was always going to be a mistake or a set piece.

The fact of the matter us that against a defence that has never played together, we should have shown the composure to drag them out of position. For all we did, they could have had league 2 CB's in their box and we still wouldn't have scored. We never isolated them. Fair play, Salah & Schurrle were excellent on the flanks at tracking the runners & Cole & Azpi are top class. But the weakness was CB and we never exposed them.
            Forwards.......

I agree, but the fact that we came from fifth to first on a run of 11 straight wins put us in a totally unexpected position, and at that point the likelihood of us succumbing to the pressure and dropping points grew dramatically. For me, Arsenal and Chelsea have far more to bemoan this season in terms of lost opportunities. We got beaten by Chelsea's anti-football. They had it in their own hands then lost to Palace, Villa, and Sunderland, and drew at home with Norwich. How **** is that!

If anything, the benefit of hindsight would suggest that we lost it when Henderson got sent off against City.

I think there will be a saga, but not one where he asks to leave, just one where Real play silly buggers. If we show enough intent to build on this season, I'm sure he'll stay without any issues.

I also think that we have pretty much the best first 11 (but no squad depth), plus the best manager in the top six. Build on that, and why shouldn't we compete again? It's the first time that I'm thinking that we could actually win the title again since the early 90s.

Pull the other one. How many games has Kalas played? Was his first start FFS. And the keeper has long had his day. I think he had one Save to make all game.

I'm not depressed about it anymore. Game is gone. Was just responding to others. I'm delighted with how the seasons gone. I'll always say the same in a league, see where you are after the last games are finished. Everything else is like getting excited about being ahead in a cup final. Great, but not time to celebrate.

Sorry Danny, you usually post a lot of sense but I'm going to have to call you on this. Firstly, do you really believe that Mourinho just sent them out on the day of the match and told them to get on with it? They will have spent ages looking at our style and approach, and repeatedly drilled how they would shut us out. These are highly paid, professional footballers, not part-time journeymen, and to suggest that they should be **** because they weren't the first choice centre backs is a bit patronising.

No we didn't. We lost because we couldn't turn 73% possession into goals, and failed to score for the first time in 25 matches.

Utter ****e. Their defence played out of their skins.

Whatever happens on Sunday, it has been an unbelievable season for us fans to have watched. Manchester City by far have the best squad in this league and we're still in the race with them after 37 games.

And for these supporters of clubs chanting that Gerrard song. He's tasted more success and celebrated more trophies than virtually every poxy club in this league. They'll all be kissing his arse as the captain of England in the summer.

Well the silver lining of all this on an individual level is me not having to worry about Liverpool in the midst of my university graduation, which begins at the exact same time as kick-off Sunday.

I'm feeling pretty deflated and would rather not have to think about it all anyway.
