It's a flag day for them too....!

After a run of winless games, Hull City AFC need our vocal and visible support more than at any time before this season. The Sky cameras will be here, so why don’t we put on a show for them?

City Till We Die is calling on all City supporters to show their backing for the boys as they play Liverpool by bringing their flags to the game. Got one tucked away in a cupboard somewhere? Then dig it out!

Wave them before kick-off to show you are 100% behind the team. Wave them when we score, to celebrate. And wave them to show your love for the historic name on those flags.

It’s exactly a year since City called for a Flag Day of their own – we think it’s a great idea and one we’d love to see repeated on Sunday.
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

I'd rest Sturridge. Need to get this injury sorted before we hit the Xmas period.

          I'd agree with that.

We played some terrifc football on Saturday, I'd play the same eleven.

Agree as well. Also sends a message of sorts, you can just as easily lose your place in the Liverpool first XI as well as the England team.

I'd play Sturridge. This is going to be a typical Steve Bruce game, with them getting everyone behind the ball (despite being at home) and looking to hit us on the break. We need an early goal or it will start to get frustrating. So, let's throw everything at them from the off, and take Sturridge off after an hour when the job is done.

In defence, we are back to where we were last season with Skrtel and Agger. Decent enough, but no leadership. That's why we brought Carra back in last year, and why Toure did so well earlier in the season. I'd reinstate Toure alongside Agger for this one. Maybe even alongside Sakho if they're a big team.

              Mignolet
              Johnson Toure Agger Flanno
              Lucas Gerrard
              Henderson Coutinho
              Suarez Sturridge

A whole 8 days to rest, we'll be raring to go against Hull. Coutinho and Johnson have finally had some games under their belts, lest we forget how crucial they were meant to be for us.

I think a 6-0 could be in the offing. Agree with calvoboy, need to throw the kitchen sink right for the word go. So Sturridge has to start (can rest later if needed).

An early goal and it should be a rout.

To be honest I would expect a couple of changes, as Rodgers seems to like picking his best team rather than rotating I would imagine that if Sturridge is fit he will start presumably with Allen being the one to drop out. I would expect though that we will make a change at the back I'd expect Sakho to come in but I'm not sure for who. Flanagan deserves his place in the side at LB, after his performance in the derby.

We always seem to struggle against teams managed by Steve Bruce (apart from the odd hammering of Birmingham in the FA Cup).
                      Another MASSIVE game

I'm not expecting any kind of rout. If it happens then 'yipee' but I'm expecting a 2-1 to us or something along those lines. Of course three points is all that matters.

Difficult to know who to start at CB on a consistent basis but we can't go through the whole season constantly changing our CB's.

It's such a ridiculously massive game ....drop points here and it'll really pierce our optimism, both players and fans. Got to win.
I'm not sure it is clear cut who are our best CBs are, they all seem to have decided strengths but notable weaknesses. A situation that is compounded by a lack of combinations which look completely convincing blends.

There is still time for Sakho to kick on but in general I think we are still struggling to replace Hyypia and Carragher. I guess even players like Ferdinand and Vidic had periods where they took time to adapt. I think the only pairing I'm confident won't make it long term is Skrtel + Agger, they have had chances and in the long run always not been good enough together.

I'm beginning to think we need a designated 'concentrator' at the back who makes sure every ones brain is switched on. My impression is that this is not one of Mignolet's strengths.

I want to see Skrtel and Sakho together in a back 4. You're right on Agger. He switched off 2 or 3 times against Everton on the weekend too. He does it all the time. When you've got him doing it, and Johnson at RB, that's just asking for trouble

Sturridge in for Allen and the rest of the team should stay the same. Maybe Toure in for Skrtel. Agger was not at fault for any of Everton's goals.
