    Spurs away build up

Bout time we had a thread for this eh?

I know we have got some injury problems but was just chatting to my Spurs mate and they could potentially be without:-

    Rose
    Chiriches
    Vertonghen

And rumours that Kaboul has a knock so a bit of a patched up back four and a Europa game on Thursday night although they will probably rest most of the team.

Going to be a tough game whatever team they go with and our recent record at WHL is **** so I would take a draw now if it was offered.

I think we have enough to beat them. Can see Suarez getting a couple. I'm sure we will concede even though it is Spurs but we have enough about us to outscore them.

We ALWAYS struggle at White Hart Lane. Just hope we go with an attacking set up (rather than three centre backs). Same team as against West Ham but with Lucas instead of Gerrard and Alberto instead of Sterling.
      Another MASSIVE game

We have a good chance and I really hope Sakho plays. The Black Glove Hand at White Hart Lane. Game on!

we can win this and make a bold statement of intent

Read Dawson is their only fit central defender. Veronghen is out apparently.

They used Capoue in defence last weekend IIRC. If we can keep them quiet going, maybe get an early goal, I think their fans might get a bit restless.

Sterling played well against West Ham and has been steadily improving his performances each week, no reason at all to drop him.

It will be a though game for us. I can see us struggle controlling the ball without Gerrard against a strong Spurs midfield. Just don't think the CM will be mobile and pass quick enough. Hopefully I'm proved wrong. We should have a chance keeping the clean sheet, and Suarez will a challenge for the defence in the other end.

I could well imagine this being a 0-0. 1-1 game. Think it will be low scoring.

I'm expecting nothing, so even a decent performance is a bonus. No matter how well we are playing, or how poor they are at the time, we always seem to be **** at White Hart Lane.

Logically though, there's no reason why we shouldn't beat them. They are certainly no better than us, and are missing a couple of key players. Lucas and Allen should be fine in midfield in Gerrard's absence, and Coutinho and Suarez should be able to create against them.

Vertonghen's been playing left back though. Dawson and Chiriches at CB, with Kaboul another option. Rose isn't fit so that Naughton would play left back if Vertonghen is out.

Vertonghen hasnt really been the same player as last year this season. So its not really as big of a loss as it would have been.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

That would be ideal for Sterling, have him and Johnson attacking Naughton will yield something IMO.

Paulinho and Sandro will be cottoned on Coutinho though, it will be a tough match for him.
