    His fault...

Their goal came after six-footer Jordon Mutch was left unmarked on a free kick.

    Rodgers' fault?

What did people think of Johnson's performance today?

He was ok today, gave the ball away a few times when in an advanced position.

It was however really noticeable when Flanagan went off and he went to the left the balance of our defence changed, both of those changes IMO had a massive impact on our defensive shape.

coutinho wants to play through the middle and drifts inside from the left. we dont get much of a real left wing threat the way sterling can take it down the right. flanno overlaps and supports well, but coutinho needs to start wide to help drag their defenders around and create some space.

BT sport have gone mental for it today aswell, he needs to calm it down for the next few games at least.
Al Jazerra were making an issue of it too. The ref's will be watching for it if he keeps making it so obvious. It's going to cost us,hopefully not in the next two games.

                Flanagan, blimey.

I was thinking all along 'okay, he's a stop gap, he'll do an okay job until Enrique comes back' but he was so good today, on current form I'm starting to think he could be in this team for the long haul.

Yup, he was class again and looking at the side we put out today it's pretty damn youthful and could serve us well in the coming seasons.

                  Average age of 24

                  Mig - 25
                  Flanno - 20
                  Skrtel -29
                  Sakho - 23
                  Johnson 29

                  Allen -23
                  Henderson - 23
                  Lucas - 26

                  Sterling -19
                  Suarez - 26
                  Coutinho - 21

To see him actually trying to head the ball at a defensive set piece would make a nice change.

Just back home from it - that first half was a joy to watch. Can't wait to see what it was like on the tele. Second half wasn't quite so fun, the subbing off of Flanagan seemed to really disrupt the right hand side and lead to a strong, dominant area being really compromised.

I can't remember the team being this fun to watch since the 80's. Rafa's sides were intense and based around Gerrard, but this side is based around Suarez's joy and ad hoc enthusiasm. Brendan has done so well to harness that.

Suarez is lifting everyone - Coutinho, Allen, Flanagan, Henderson, Sterling - they were all excellent. Absolutely loving watching the reds just now - its proper fun! Brendan has turned Liverpool into the division's entertainers. Its a million miles away from the **** we had to endure under Roy. for Brendan Rodgers.

Hendo tends to favor the left side though, which helps, and I think Suarez drifts out that way naturally as well. Both of his goals came from attacks on that flank.
