      Easy win. Think we even deliberately conserved some energy in this one. Controlled the game since the start and was probably helped by Hull's ineptitude. Still hanging in there despite top 3 teams allegedly pulling away a wee bit.

      Knew Everton would drop off points today. Shame Cardiff conceded two very late goals.
      Are we winning?

        An important win.Need to go on a run now and start racking up the points. Shame about Arsenal and Everton late goals the ****s.

        I'd have liked a good cup run but with the injuries we have I'd play as few of our first choice 11 as is possible next week.

          We needed to win today somehow and we did it.

          Not fussed with the performance one bit. It was expected that we would be lethargic. Glad with the win.

            Decent performance considering, think we could have raised it if needed aswell. Nice to be back in the top 4. Hopefully Man Utd drop some points later but Tottenham are rat **** so not too hopeful.

              Important to get a win today - not at our best but our defence weren't really troubled at all - dealt with set pieces well too. Poor reffing in the the game again but thankfully it didn't cost us points this time.

                Delighted. 3 points was all that mattered.

                First 2-0 win since 2011!

                  When Coutinho/Henderson/Sterling start scoring, we'll be unstoppable on the attack.

                    A win and a clean sheet were both very welcome. It's a shame a couple of the other teams picked up points from late goals or it would have been an even better start to the new year. Lets hope we can now put a run of wins together and close the gap on the top 3.
                    The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                      * Coutinho was eventually finding his range and that run at the end was magical.
                      * Sterling got into some great positions but his decision making was poor. He's the one to lose out to Sturridge for me.
                      * Suarez was a battling performance and what a freekick.
                      * Back four (Toure) were fantastic. Cleared everything thrown at them and never panicked (or held shirts!)
                      * Agger got a goal!
                      * Gerrard is back!
                      * Cissokho actually played football
                      * Did Mig have a single save to make?
                      * Bruce's fat head is fat and on the losing side

                      * Ref was poor and should have protected Suarez more
                      Was muß, das muß.

                        Next game, Stoke City away, will be a tough one. We don't seem to get a lot there don't we?

                            It is after Christmas now - same as last year when he signed and was excellent
