I guess you just don't find today's game disappointing?
An individual error cost us the game, but that doesn't hide the fact that we were absolutely ****. And it was not for the first time either.
This season we've already had too many of these matches as it is. So do you think we'll still get fourth by repeating them, or we'll just suddenly stop?
Of course I'm not, we clearly haven't played well but this season especially I think we're always going to be a bit inconsistent. ****ing annoying we didn't consolidate our need at the top but we haven't and we need to re-group and get preparing for the Arsenal game now.

We're not going to steamroll every side in the league much to mine and most others disappointment but that's the case.

I'm talking about when Joe Allen comes off the bench. He's really poor when coming on and trying to make an impact. Less so when he's starting.

      Some players are like that.

football is game that brings emotions to the fore, thats why people post their fruatration. its not hard to understand is it?
Give it a go you never know he might kick you around though !

Of course it is but calling (not talking about you here) players cunts etc... doesn't exactly help or bring anything to the discussion it just confirms what a lot of other teams fans think of us; a sense of entitlement to being better than everyone else which isn't the case.

Allen was probably just as good as Henderson when he came on today, in fact the shot on target might just make his performance slightly better.

But hey, as long as we all have a whipping boy.

we ****ed up, we'll bounce back...but brendan needs to learn to shut up shop away from home, and be dangerous on counter attack. we need to be smarter, better, no need for 4 attackers on the field when we're 1:0 up away.

I don't hate Henderson, but I don't think he can't play a deep role and help control the midfield, especially away from home. For the most part he has been good at Anfield, but since new the Chelsea game were I think his performance level has dropped significantly and had too many games where he has missplaced 1 pass in 4, which is not good enough.

The attitude of "we should have smashed this lot" is what's part of the problem, this league isn't like this look at the teams around us Spurs dropped points to Hull the Mancs lost to Stoke they should have "smashed them" it's that attitude we need to get past as it's just not that easy.

We obviously haven't played well but it's a terrible individual error that's cost us the 3 points without that we'd have been sitting 4 points ahead of Everton and 5 from Spurs.

Some of us predicted a draw

We are now challenging for 4th but if we'd won today we'd have still been in the challenge for top spot. Provided the 3 above us fail to win then we're still in the mix

It's a tight league, we could beat Arsenal next weekend and be pushing again for the top 3.

I think there will be plenty of twists and turns until the end of the season we just have to make sure we keep ourselves in that 4th (or higher!) spot

He's not really an impact player but we did need a better shape (in midfield) against WBA. BR was slow to react. In terms of impact - I'm surprised Cissokho wasn't taken off for Ibe (e.g. on 80 mins).
                      Another MASSIVE game

Everyone has off days but today we played without purpose and our tempo was pre season like at times, I thought Allen did well when he came on to be honest but Kelly wasn't up to much.

Our style of play went out the window and we just played it long so many times, Sakho helps with that but I though players hid rather than showed for the ball, especially at the end you see Toure step out and Gerrard go behind a West Brom player. I get he's got to drop in between the CB's but he has to want the ball in those areas and link defense to attack.

On a separate note, Suarez looks a bit jaded. Shame he's undroppable...

Starting midfield should've been Gerrard, Allen and Coutinhom or Gerrard, Allen, Henderson.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

... we could bring in Aspas
