I know he's much improved lately, but if Suarez doesn't make Mertesacker look old, slow and clumsy tomorrow, I'll be disappointed.

It's been 7 years since we've beaten Arsenal at home

arsenal are very strong down the middle and so so down the flanks.

we need to put our strength down the middle so i would go 4312 with gerrard, allen, henderson and coutinho as the 1 in a central diamond with suarez and sturridge in advanced attacking positions.

the key to winning this game is negating arsenals patterns down the middle. if we do that we can stop them playing. with suarez and sturridge up front we are always in with a chance.

if we take on arsenal at their own game we will lose.

Before every match in the recent past when both have played this sentiment has been expressed and its never happened sadly,he seems to cope quite well with Luis.

Luis and Daniel together though might be very special.

Or are you suggesting that Cissohko should bring the beef to our midfield?
think you're right mate & it was Carzola who played RM... which is even worse against Cissoko.. ****ttttt!!!

Our record isn't that bad against them though.

In Rafa's first 5 years we won the first 3 home matches, lost the away but drew both for the next two. Equal points basically and that included that crazy 4-4 and doesn't factor us dumping them out of CL in 07/08.

We lost in Rafa's last year, so that's no surprise as we were ****.

Under Hodgson and Kenny we surprisingly drew even both times.

We lost again in Kenny's second year, but the home game was directly after we lost the cup, so we the players were still mangled and didn't give a ****.

We were ****, shocking, terrible at home in one of Rodgers first games last year (ruined my holiday ), but matched them away.

Basically, they are hardly a bogey team, they are not as good as people believe and we will stuff them on Saturday.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I always think it , but you're right he's coped ok in the past. It appears an absolute mismatch on paper though and I've convinced myself it will be just that tomorrow

I've mentally prepared myself for a loss tomorrow that way if it happens I won't be overly disappointed and if we draw or even win I'll be made up about it. Arsenal are the only team I do this for when we play them because I just feel that they are the one side in the PL who have our number stylistically we never seem to play well against them and with our **** back 4 we'll have to produce something special to even get a draw IMO.

I think I'll put a fiver (or the ISK equivalent ) on Arsenal.

Wilshere passed fitness test today. But still not 100% fit. Wenger weighing up Ox-C or Wilshere to partner Arteta in central midfield.
