I do agree (and then i hate myself for saying this, I really do, so please forgive me, please !) but Man Yoo of years before, would have gone on and on and ****in humiliated them, thats what I would of liked to have seen.
I make no apologies, this is me

Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny labelled Arsenal's display as "embarrassing" and apologised for the result.

"That was embarrassing," wrote Szczesny - who previously conceded six at Manchester City in December - on his official Facebook page, with the message also containing an expletive.

"Apologies to anyone who sat through 90mins of that game."

Or in Arsenal's fans' case, 75 minutes of that game.
          One tit for another.

I wouldn't be surprised if some had left after 20 mins
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah I can see where your coming from with that, I wanted to utterly humiliate them, but we ran ourselves into the ground against Everton and had nothing left in the tank for West Brom. I'd like to think after the 4th went in we knew we just had to see the game out and conserve energy for Fulham.

Countering was fine - we won 5-1 after all, so we could afford to do it instead of just destroying our fitness before a midweek game. (On that note: was glad to see Brendan take off our three biggest stars to keep them energized. Feels like a lesson learnt.)

But long-term, I'd like to see - and imagine Brendan probably would, too - a bit more of the good ol' days of "sterile domination" and "resting with the ball" and whatever other soundbites. Fitness-wise, it's just unrealistic to press like we did in those first 30 minutes all game, and sitting back trying to control the space and being compact has gotten us in trouble all season because we're not solid enough at the back. We still have to do it because we just don't have the back six to just posses the ball against top sides, but soon enough we will.

First time I've been able to log in today really. WOW what a performance. That first 20 minutes was by far the best performance I have ever seen from a Liverpool team in 20 years. We absolutely blew arsenal away. Talk of the title is nothing more than a dream but 4th or 3rd is looking more and more likely.

Fact is we hammered Arsenal and even managed to bring our best attacking players and Captain off with 20 minutes to play. Total domination and Arsenal will drop like a stone.

                      Rogerball at its best.

Small collection of some great skills and passes by Coutinho and Sterling

                            Good post

I do wonder how our style will evolve - I also hope to see a return to a more possession based approach in the future. Like you say, that high intensity pressing can't be maintained for long periods, and the squad will be spread very thin with European football. It's probably fair to say it's something we can turn on in bursts rather than perpetuate.

I think summer transfer targets will be telling in terms of our direction, particularly the type of midfielder we go after.
