It seemed obvious that this had the potential to be a difficult game because we struggle away from home especially against "lesser" opposition. We got 3 points and that's all that matters really. Defensively we were hopeless. If we scrape a few more away wins like this one between now and the end of the season I'll be more than happy.

That would be daft, and he's not fatigued, there was a half hour spell in the second half where he was utterly astonishing, just the goals have dipped as he's playing in a different position now.Originally posted by Norbs View PostSuarez is trying but fatigue might be just taking the edge off his game. I'd bench him and go with a 4-5-1 formation.

Delighted with that result, absolutely delighted. We'd have lost that match last season, our mental strength to come from behind twice was really, really impressive.
Hopefully it's a telling sign that Chelsea and Arsenal both played badly and only picked up a point whereas we played badly tonight and still got the win!

From the sublime to the ridiculous inside five days, hammering a great side and struggling against a **** one, this typifies Liverpool FC for the last 20+ years.
I'd honestly rather play a rotation of City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton every week until the end of the season than have to suffer the heart-in-mouth agonies of apparently lesser field trips to the likes of Hull, Stoke, Palace or Cardiff.
Calamity Kolo and our tinpot defence are threatening to pull the rug out from under us, but then we've got a ridiculously talented attacking unit, Gerrard and his balls of steel and other teams around us dropping points while we chisel out results despite some long term injuries.
Are we going for fourth or supposed to be chasing a title? I can't decide, although I honestly believe we're just too harem-scarem and frayed around the edges at the back to be a title-winning side. All I know for sure is that with 12 games to go, wherever we end up this season, this team's going to take us through the wringer to get there.

Are you on your period???Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostSee Gerrard at the end, straight over to Teixeira. Arm around him and touched him the chest a few times and said that was wonderful!
Steven Gerrard - Can't get over how much of a man he is. Has grown so much, we're the same age and to see him mature into the player and the man he is gives me so much pride.
Wish I'd aged the same as him and grew up the same way he has.

if we go with this line up i'd tweak it like this;Originally posted by Norbs View PostSuarez is trying but fatigue might be just taking the edge off his game. I'd bench him and go with a 4-5-1 formation.
Flanno Skrtel Agger Cissokho
Coutinho Allen Henderson Teixeira Sterling
Sturridge
Control the midfield and pace of the game. Bring Gerrard and Suarez on if needed otherwise give them a deserved break
Flanno Skrtel Agger Cissokho
-----Allen Henderson------
Sterling---Coutinho---Teixeira
--------Sturridge-----------removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nice to see the fist pumping from the likes of Coutinho, Henderson, Sturridge etc when Gerrard stuck the peno away as well."I will make the boys feel your support"
