MOTD highlights

Mills and Kilbane offered some of the most painful punditry I've ever seen. Interrupting and talking over each other constantly, and - particularly Mills - saying the most banal ****e but dressing it up as somehow insightful and important. Horrendous.

Mills used to be okay on 5 Live I thought. The format of MOTD2 and the standard of hosting is at least as much of a problem as the pundits themselves. The half hearted attempt at goals vs defense bantz was painful.

I don't disagree, just that I'm not sure he deserves all the blame for his poor performance (he was the Skrtel to the other two's Agger and Mignolet).

They were the worst pairing I have ever seen on any channel. And that's saying something. There is no way the BBC will let them back on (together anyway). Shirley?

Edit: Unlike ITV, BT Sport or Sky who all have some live football to offer the BBC only have MOTD. Its not just their flagship its their only ship. They can't afford scurvy on board.

That just reminded me how much we miss him in the final third. He's so dangerous! It makes me sad that he's never going to be that player for us again. It was like a 5 minute cameo of the player he used to be, then he was straight back to being our third CB again

I do think a good defence can win you the league. If our attack is having an off day, at least we can get away with a point or nick a goal.

With a **** defence and the attackers are doing badly, you lose 3-1 for example.

We definitely need a better organiser (Sakho?) and someone more in control of their hands and feet!
