        ht 1-0 and lucky.

need to sort out the middle of the pitch. players almost invisible... usual suspects.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Joe Allen has been off for me.

I'd bring on Sterling soon. His pace would hurt that high line of Southampton and he's a stronger player defensively.

They are when afforded space, which we are giving them in spades.

Ironic ,last week at half time Allen for Sterling was the right choice, this week its opposite! Need Sterling in out wide so he can help tracking back, same with Suarez on the other side of the attack.

              Getting ripped down the flanks.

I have no idea how we are winning. Dominated! Players look lost in the formation. Defence is getting zero protection from the midfield and the forwards are getting no support from the midfield. Allen, Coutinho, Henderson and Flanagan have had nightmares

So has Henderson and Gerrard, the entire midfield has not done well.

Adjustments definitely need to be made because if we keep giving Southampton free rein in the middle of the park they will more than likely score.

I don't think we can point fingers at Rodgers, I think in this instance you have to doff your cap in the direction of Southampton. They've squeezed the midfield and isolated Suarez and Sturridge; such is their energy, there are just no options available and we surrender possession quickly.

We need to pick one off on the counter attack and shuffle our midfield.

The diamond is straining players because they have to cover more ground defending the wide areas. It should be changed back to 4-3-3 now.

I would swap Johnson and Flanagan, put Sturridge upfront and Sterling on the left in place of either Coutinho or Allen. We have to win this one.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Rodgers have to sort the midfield for 2nd half of the game. Very lucky to hold on the lead

Yep, we are playing a decent side away from home, they are going to have spells. You'd think we were losing and about to be relegated judging by this thread. Utterly bizarre.
