      ****ing massive game this!
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Cheers for the responses regarding the game guys.

          Thanks.

I've been nervous for weeks now. I've got a fair bit on my mind work wise, and am a poor sleeper at the best of times, but I woke up this morning at 3:47 and it was Liverpool that entered my mind first, not work

I'm having a sleep and then getting up at 2am. I'm so nervous but equally excited at what our forward line will conjure for us this week!

Jan Molby: Daniel Agger has a point to prove at Southampton

Danish defender was substituted after struggling during win over Swansea

Daniel Agger will be determined to prove he remains a big part of Liverpool FC ’s future when he lines up against Southampton tomorrow.

Getting taken off in the second half against Swansea will have hurt him. He wasn’t injured and Brendan Rodgers obviously felt that Kolo Toure would be able to deal with the physical presence of Wilfried Bony better.

Personally, I thought it was a strange decision to take him off but Agger has to take it on the chin. He has made it clear he wants to be a Liverpool player for as long as possible. He will do everything he can to stay. Even the great centre-halves had bad games and it’s about how you bounce back.

If we get back in the Champions League, Agger’s experience is going to be vitally important next season.

I firmly believe he’s still a top class defender. There are other centre-backs at the club who either aren't quite ready or their best days are behind them like big fat Kolo.

We are going to have to defend better at St Mary’s because it will be a tough game. We've found it really difficult against Southampton in the past. It’s okay saying it’s because they press us high up the pitch but we struggled against them before they even started playing that style under Mauricio Pochettino.

We know we’re going to create chances and score goals but we just have to hope we can keep it tight at the other end.

Last Sunday was probably as bad as we've defended all season. It was individual errors which hurt us.

They seems to be almost an acceptance among fans that we are going to concede goals and a confidence that we can outscore teams because of our firepower.

You can analyse and criticise but this Liverpool team are providing fantastic entertainment. The alternative would be playing like Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea but that wouldn't wash with our fans.

Southampton appear to have run out of legs a bit but they will find the energy for the visit of Liverpool.

Our target remains the top four but with a six-point gap to fifth-placed Spurs we can afford to gamble in games. If we are drawing at St Mary’s with 15 minutes to go, the mentality should be ‘let’s go for it’ and try to turn one point into three.
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

As much as I love how we are playing at the minute, I don't like this arrogance that keeps creeping in. Of course we'd take 1-0 bores every week if it won us the title and if Chelsea do end up winning it come May, I dare say they'll be doing a lot more celebrating than us.

Everything else was spot on though Jan.

In fairness though, as much as he's a hero, big Jan's opinion is not the club's opinion so he can be arrogant. The moment one of the players or manager came out with that I'd be really disappointed

Well I think this follows on from BR's Mourino style comments and I've heard a few fans saying similar.

Just makes me feel a bit like Newcastle or Arsenal, or even Moyes, saying we don't need to win to be superior because we play better football (obviously Moyes never played better football than anybody, but he's the face of 'not having to win to be a winner').

Yeah true. I heard BR's comments from yesterday's press conference about not caring how many we concede as it's only about winning. He's right to be honest but that'll surely come back and bite him if, or when, we lose a high scoring game

Losing a high scoring and low scoring game is the same.
                                Are we winning?
